I agree. The airline should be required to pay any fine, return her and her child back to where they boarded the plane and refund her total ticket cost.

Any flight into Dubai ahold refuse serving alcohol to all passengers to protect themselves and their passengers as well.

No it is not stupid. It is oppressive. Governments, including our own, have many laws on the books which they can use against people that become troublesome to officials. When you read the article, I think she dared to anger some guvment guy and this was just another tool in the utility belt to show this uppity foreigner who is in charge there. In a place like Dubai, a foreigner is royally screwed.
My, but the British government have fallen far. Back in 1850 when you dared screw with a British subject there were consequences. Then again, we have the power now that the British had back then and we do not stand up very often for our people overseas.

Dubai United Arab Emirates that should tell you all you need to know arabs are probably Muslim so what do you expect? The religion listed is Islam.

I still put the responsibility on the offended country. I think right now Trump is messing with Turkey over them messing with an American, Andrew Brunson. Either people respect your power or they don't. Back in the day, after he defeated Hitler, not too many folks wanted to anger old Joe Stalin.

It used to happen occasionally to me on other boards. It has never occurred as yet on OPP to me. Ahh the good old days of the early George W. Bush Presidency. Good times back then. The Loonies just could never get over that Florida recount v**e in 2,000. They just kept misstating the facts years later, but some were quite brilliant and could on occasion out argue me if I was not at the top of my game. Sadly I rarely have to be at my best on OPP.
Those folks were in heaven when Obama ruled the roost, but those old Liberals and those old boards did not stand the test of time. I think they all rested under Obama because their work was done. Hillary and her successors was sure to continue the good work of Obama in perpetuity. When this tornado named Donald Jobs. Trump disrupted the force and destroyed the harmony of the universe, the old guard no longer had the strength to come out of retirement.
And so it is up to the new guard, such as yourself to fight the good fight. I hope you are up to it.
