Expert: 170 Registered V**ers in Ohio’s 12th District Listed as Over 116 Years Old.

The assumption is automatically v***r f***d even though to assume someone identity to v**e in their place would mean you would need to get their v**ers registration card as well as other documentation to prove that you are them. Now supposedly 72 people managed to do this and v**e in a dead persons place but I have yet have anyone come up and explain just how they managed to do so. I say it's all f**e news used to get cons riled up over v**er ID laws when simply removing dead people from the v**er rolls when a death certificate is issued would seem to be the easiest answer that I have come up with. Anyway, Ohio is going to wait until after the e******n to make all corrections to their v**er rolls. If dead people are v****g then blame the governor and stop point you fingers at democrats--we realize long ago that it too complicated to register the dead to v**e--unless of course you are the captain of a polling precinct and then you can get the dead to v**e all you want whether v**er ID's are issued or not!

It is amazing, in this day and time, with the technology that we have, that this still goes on and becomes headline news for the media. Maybe back in the 1900s this could have happened but I wonder about our country in today's day and time.

I love the automatic assumption that there was v***r f***d even though they couldn't explain how it could happen. I mean simply because people haven't been taken off v**er rolls doesn't mean something nefarious is going on...unless you are a conservative and you need something nefarious in order to build your case for v**er ID for everyone--which I think is the more likely case...

I mean, when you die you are issued a death certificate. You would think that when the certificate was issued that it would automatically take you off the v**er rolls. If they can't figure out how to do that and someone is smart enough to figure out how to v**e for a dead person then more power to them. Maybe v***r f***d will give some government official the urgency to take all dead people off our v**er rolls....

I agree with you Peter that Rep. Gov. John Kasich should purge the v**er rolls of dead people BEFORE this year's e******n. He should be grilled on this point to explain his decision.

Having said that, how about addressing my August 8 post on v***r f***d, which I have included below.

You can't argue with the numbers, they are what they are. And if that type of v***r f***d existed in this one precinct of Georgia, why not all the Georgia precincts, as well as the three other states that have no easy way to audit the results?

It makes absolutely no sense Peter, that if you need a photo id to get a drivers license, purchase liquor, and any number of other less important activities, that it should not be mandatory for something as critical as the integrity of our e******n system.

AUGUST 9 POST
[Habersham County’s Mud Creek precinct in northeastern Georgia had 276 registered v**ers ahead of the state’s primary e******ns in May. But 670 b****ts were cast, according to the Georgia secretary of state’s office, indicating a 243% turnout. Georgia is one of four states that uses v****g machines statewide that produce no paper record for v**ers to verify, making them difficult to audit, experts say. There is a dire need to reform the v****g system.

OK Folks, explain again to me why we don't require a state issued photo id in order to v**e?

Peter,
After clicking on your link, here is what you failed to point out in the story:

"In 2016, liberal activist groups Demos and the ACLU filed suit against the state of Ohio in an attempt to stop its efforts to remove inaccurate v***r r**********ns from its rolls. Soros gave 1.25 million to Demos in 2016, on top of the more than $3 million he had given in previous years. And Soros has been even more generous with the ACLU, giving over $35 million for Trump related lawsuits.

Ultimately, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Ohio’s efforts in a 5-4 decision earlier this year."

Maybe you should be questioning why the liberal activist groups and the ACLU filed suit in an attempt to stop efforts to remove inaccurate v***r r**********ns from being removed. What does that suggest to you as to their motivations?

Also maybe you should do some research into why the Supreme Court ruled in Ohio's favor since you brought up this subject.

That was corrected to show that there were 3,704 people in that precinct.

Thank you for pointing that out. Having said that, the article goes on as follows:

"In 2017, a report by a Georgian security researcher revealed a shocking lack of security throughout the state's v****g system. Later that year, we discovered that servers that were thought to be key evidence for the same federal lawsuit that has led to this week's news were wiped, then repeatedly degaussed.
Georgia is one of four states in the US that continues to use v****g machines with no ability to provide v**ers a paper record so that they can verify the machine counted their v**e correctly.

There is a ray of light, however. In January a bipartisan group of senators introduced a bill to ban insecure paperless v****g machines. Additionally, the legislation would implement many reforms that the security community has been calling for. While it is still far from being passed into law, the Senate Rules and Administration Committee recently held two hearings to collect testimony."

Peter, where does "V****g" rank in comparison with these other activities that require v**er id for everyone? Explain to me again why v**er id is a bad idea!

I thought no v**er ID is needed? Just the name.
