The First Amendment to our U.S. Constitution was designed to protect free speech of people, not corporations. For the past 2 decade a divided U.S. Supreme Court had t***sformed the First amendment into a powerful tool for corporations and wealthiest individuals overturning longstanding precedent prohibiting corporations and wealthiest individuals from spending their general treasury funds in our e******ns seeking to evade and invalidate democratically-enacted reforms. The U.S. Supreme Court ruling in CITIZENS UNITED V. FEC of 2010, and now the 2014 ruling in McCUTCHEON V. FEC present a serious and direct threat to our DEMOCRACY. We need a constitutional amendment in our U.S. Congress to correct the wrongdoing by 5 Republican Justices majority in our U.S. Supreme Court.

This is the most appalling judgement made by SCOTUS in a while though.
They base their decision on "our government must be trusted" instead of the constitution? I don't believe a darn thing Washington says until it is officially denied.

Roberts used to be a republican but he turned Demoncrat when Obamacare came before the court and v**ed with the perverts.
The entire court needs to be replaced.

I really believe that they have something on justice Roberts that he is afraid will come out. Whether it is true or not it is not so much the question as to what would it take to recover from some really bad slander? I don't trust Obama as to some of the things that went on in Illinois when he ran for the senate seat. All of a sudden his opponents divorce records which were sealed by the way mysteriously were opened and leaked to the press. He eventually stepped down allowing Obama to win by default. That is Illinois politics, nothing is sacred unless you are a democrat and connected to the mafia then you are secure.

Five justices were appointed by Republican presidents, and four by either Clinton or Obama. But, the "bent" is for any decision against the people.

As far as the poor, if those, like Romney, had not sent millions of US jobs overseas, those "poor" would have positions, with insurance, and be living productive lives instead of on welfare.

Think about Romney and Bain Capital, the crown of his companies and the one in the Midwest they sold to a Chinese firm.

They had the soon to be unemployed train the Chinese before all the equipment was moved. And, when the Chinese arrived, the American f**g was removed and replaced with the Chinese f**g.

The ruling in 2010 by 5 Republican Justices of our U.S. Supreme Court in "Citizens United V. FEC" had unleashed a torrent of corporate money in our political process unmatched by any campaign expenditure totals in the U.S.A. history.
