All in due time. When the Republicans controlled the House and Congress they passed a balanced budget bill that forced the Clinton administration to operate with a balanced budget the first since the early 1900's.

Then when the Democrats got control of the House and Congress they v**ed the balance budget bill out and went back to the old spend, spend, spend way.

got ya.no arguement from me on that one. I will say that when Bush took over there was a budget surplus that went away and became a deficit.

That was the year the Republicans forced a balance amendment through. And you saw what happened when the Democrats did away with it.
