Yes it would, BUT it would hurt too many innocent people depending on their social security checks and poor depending on their welfare checks.

I would like to see ALL AID EXCEPT Socical Security, welfare, aid to dependant children, food stamps all cut off until the cities comply with federal laws.

No, his shutting down government will only hurt him but still not get what he wants. If government is shut down let it be congress that does it and suffers the consequences, as the dems did. I wish some regular, truly honest, trustworthy person would start a citizens campaign to raise money to build the border obstruction as quickly as possible with the army engineers supervising and overseeing the construction and use of the money. But the obstruction must prevent entrance in every way over it, through it and under it.

I don't think it will hurt the president one bit because the congress will be shutting it down for not including the wall.I hope the president shuts it down until he gets the wall all he has to do is is keep the necessary depts operating.Then he does away with all the depts that are not necessary Like the dept of education and other depts that are just money eaters.Then no work no pay .then lets see how the demorats handle the heat.

If it is going to be a privately funded wall then no military or governmental entity should have any control over the money. It is a public venture, controlled by the citizens, with wh**ever oversight we deem necessary, such as six month audits. No b***s**t audits such as the usual "opinion" that the books seem correct and in accordance with accepted standards.

What won't work? Funding will be a problem because those who are negatively affected by the wall don't have a lot of money and the rich want unlimited animal stock to exploit. All the government would have to provide is eminent domain to obtain the properties.
