Even if you do not like the president, I think you will like this.

President Trump is against their GRAVY TRAIN! That is why so many of the Congress are retiring. They hope to keep their Retirement as it stands now.
The Trump Rule’s Congressional Reform Act of 2018:
1 – NO TENURE / NO PENSION. A Congressman/Woman, collects a salary while in office and receives No Pay when they’re Out Of Office. No More Perks Go With Them.
2 – Congressman/Woman (Past, Present & Future) participate in Social Security. All Funds in the Congressional Retirement Fund Move To The Social Security System Immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security System and Congress participates with the American People. It may not be used for any other purposes.
3 – Congress must purchase their own Retirement Plan, just as all Americans do.
4 – Congress will No Longer V**e Themselves a Pay Increase. Congressional Pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5 – Congress loses their current Healthcare System and participates in the same Healthcare System as the American People.
6 – Congress must equally abide by all the Laws they impose on the American People.
7 – All contracts with Past and Present Congressman/Woman are Void. The American People did not make this Contract with Congressmen/Women. Congress made all these Contracts For Themselves. Serving in Congress is an Honor, Not a Career. The Founding Fathers envisioned Citizen Legislators should serve their Terms, then go home and go back to work and not get all kinds of Freebies!
NO WONDER THEY’RE FIGHTING EVERYTHING HE TRIES!

Do you think this will be passed? I hope so! This is yet another move in the right direction!!!

Who would argue against such sweeping proposals
Certainly not I, as I pretty much agree with all of it.
However, as is so often usual case......
https://www.factcheck.org/2011/03/congressional-reform-act/
Your fact check is from 2011 and if the proposal has been around that long and still gaining support, don't you agree that these concerns should be taken seriously?

I understand it to be a long-running non-factual proposal, but did inadvertently downplay that the original posting came in 2011. But, believe me, as I stated in my earlier post...I am all for the proposals involved, however unlikely
I can't imagine being opposed.
What would it take to change this from a non-action item to something that could be enacted?
I do not know, and I trust you have investigated the option.

The president never has or ever will take that seriously, attributing it to the president is f**e news.
We know that our President reads all nature of articles, we do not know for a fact that he is not considering this as a way forward to draining the swamp..

I have investigated it very little, but enough to suspect it isn't gon'na happen. I say that simply because I doubt any congress will pass such a bill limiting their benefits/perks. I can't recall seeing the judicial or executive branch being covered by such proposals.
And, if one reads the FactCheck link provided (if believed) says that most of the unknown author's proposals make factual claims that betray a profound ignorance of the system he or she proposes to "reform."
A former Senator, Tom Coburn (R), wrote during the 2016 e******n, “Americans haven’t agreed on much during… the p**********l primary, but one thing seems clear: they are frustrated with the federal government.” Perhaps a new approach to the issue of term limits would enact the will of the people. To this end, along with seven of my fellow Congressmen, I have introduced the Thomas Jefferson Public Service Act of 2018. This proposal offers a means of effectively putting capitated service, i.e. “term limits,” in place without amending the Constitution. The Act will reduce the salary of an elected Member of Congress to $1 a year after they serve six (6) consecutive terms in the House or two (2) consecutive terms in the Senate, and does not require a Constitutional amendment." This is presently in consideration as of April 2018.
Would you believe, those supporting this is all Republicans?
https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/5539/all-infoCould it happen... not likely unless a few Democrats get on board.... then it will gain favor and action from the progressives.... perhaps they can march on Washington with demanding passage of the bill.
