You know things are bad when something as simple as a soccer ball causes political fury.

After Putin gave Trump a soccer ball from the World Cup, which Trump earmarked for his youngest son, Barron, Trump’s enemies were quick to point out Barron might not be able to keep it.

It’s Always Something
The soccer ball has barely been in Melania’s lap for five minutes when social media started blowing up about the “gift.”

You see, according to our laws, presidents are not supposed to accept gifts from foreign governments or their respective leaders.

While that is the official protocol, we all know this “law” is not exactly at the top of the Justice Department’s to do list for enforcement.

Technically, though, the gift belongs to the people of the United States.

Point being, it could be displayed in the White House, but it is nothing that should be taken off premise, even after Trump’s term is over.

In other words, Barron may not be able to “keep” the gift other than picking out where it is displayed.

Sad State
It is truly a sad state of the country when something this simple has to be politicized.

It is even worse that the soccer ball received more press coverage than a Secret Service agent that passed away and a police officer that lost his life in the line of duty.

It is just another tool Trump’s enemies want to use against him to create bad publicity for the President.

Even worse are the calls of the President being a t*****r over the press conference.

Few would argue the fact the press conference was not one of Trump’s finer moments, but t*****r?

Should Barron Be Able to Keep the Soccer Ball?
Yes
No
Next
Sensationalism … it is what the mainstream media, liberals, Democrats, and the GOP establishment have come to embrace.

Like we said, when they make a soccer ball given as a gift a front-page headline, something is truly wrong with the way the media covers this presidency.

That's what I feel as well. We are going at each other like in a grudge match and we wonder why we have no respect from the populace.

While that is a nice sentiment, there is a hard and fast rule that any gifts to a public employee from foreign governments are the property of the government. The source and value of other gifts needs to be carefully scrutinized lest they be construed as bribes. Our Military has an even more rigorous code for its officers who deal with contractors. Any gift including the trashy giveaways for renting cars must be turned in; the officer must accept these even though they are worthless and will not be his so that he can account for it and give it to the government. No meals or rides can be accepted under any circumstances
nor any other consideration. the penalty for these officers if they are caught breaking the emoluments rules is draconian.

Trump should send an aide out to buy another Soccer ball to give to Barron and enshrine the Putin gift in carbonite, to hang on the west wing walls. If he buys two more balls he can hang a pair on the walls and then they will always be able to say "They have balls in the White House"

I'd keep it for sure but I don't think it would ever be used. Surely you realize anything Trump does the left is against it from second one.

A British sculptor gave LBJ a bust of Churchill in 1965.

Brit PM Gordon Brown gave Obama a pen holder crafted from the timbers of the 19th century British warship HMS President (whose sister ship, HMS Resolute, provided the wood for the Oval Office's desk)

Obama gave PM Brown a set of 25 DVDs, and at the same time Michelle Obama gave Brown's two sons toy models of Marine One.

So many temptations from the left to destroy president Trump preventing him from having a good relationship with Russia.

President Trump must not listen with the democrat t*****rs. Their purpose is to destroy him in every act.

Pm Putin I think was sincere enough to offer an Olive Branch to president Trump. I think Barron must be allowed to use and enjoy that gift. That would perhaps start a good relationship with Russia where our goal is peace for the world.

Please, president Trump, don't listen to democrat t*****rs whose goal is your ultimate destruction. I want you to have good relationship with Russia.
He already started that move and please continue in order for us to save this beautiful world and God's people. Russia I am sure could be our friends. But NOT with the democrats who relentlessly destroy you.

I want to be friend with Russia, Mr. President. Thank you.

I am so serious about this. I want Barron to enjoy the gift from Russia.

We could be friends with Russia, I am sure of that.

I want to write the president.

Democrats are t*****rs and will do everything to destroy the achievements of president Trump. Even world peace, democrats want him to fail.
They are so jealous. Lucifer runs their brains.

Why? Don't you approve of spying on president Trump?

FYI: That ball was cleared before it was ever given to Trump.
