Despite the dire warnings from the intelligence community that Russia interfered in the 2016 e******n and will do so again in November, Donald Trump stood next to Vladimir Putin on Monday and insisted that the real enemy of the free world is Hillary Clinton's email server. There are only two conclusions you can draw from this debacle: Either Putin has something on Trump that compels the president to act this way, or Trump is so terrified of being exposed as an accident of history that he'd sooner knife his own country's credibility than put his fragile ego at risk. Neither of these explanations are comforting, and they are not mutually exclusive.

There is no proof Putin has anything incriminating on President Trump or Putin would have used it to get his way. He knows Russia wouldn't have as much chance as a snowball in hell if war broke out against the United States.

Excellent points. May I add to your well written response? Obama did know about someone trying to interfere with the e******n although he said that the e******ns are not r****d.
Rumor has it that he stood up, put his hand on his hip, wagged his finger and told Russia in particular "knock it off." Just like he drew lines in the sand to stop ISIS and the use of chemical warfare. Very brave.

Second, President Putin clearly told Wallace that Russia has nothing on President Trump, going on to say before T***p w*n, he was insignificant, just another rich American. So, even if they did have something (more earth shattering than a democrat funded fantasy paper) he made it unusable. So, blackmail is off the table. Who would believe Russia if they came forward with anything.... a body with President Trump's fingerprints on the murder weapon would be dismissed.... that is the problem with lies.

I want to know why Washington and many democrats, snowflakes, are opposed to peace.
Israel and Palestine is on the brink of a peaceful solution. NK and SK are working on how to become good neighbors. China is rethinking retaliation for tariffs. That leaves the muslim problem.... if Russia and the US work together ISIS will become no more than a postscript in the news. This opens up rebuilding the war ravaged countries where muslims are running from and those who invaded Europe can go home. So.... what is the fear? Could it be the loss of income from war? We used to frown on war profiteers.... But, follow the money.
