California has a GDP twice as large as Russia's. Texas has a GDP bigger than Russia's and the per capita income in Texas is $58,000; in Russia it is $8,000. At their next meeting Trump should demand that Trump and Putin sit on chairs of a size proportionate to the size of their country's economies. Trump would like that. Somehow Russia has acquired a persona it doesn't deserve. Russia is a physically big country, but economically it's a pipsqueak It's a good thing for Russia that it has ICBMs, oil and nukes for otherwise it has nothing. Vodka doesn't count and anyway Russians need vodka to try to make life in Russia bearable. They don't succeed for Russians die at a young age, many from alcohol abuse.
