Trump Sent A Message That Caused Every World Leader’s Jaw To Hit The Floor
0 0

No president in modern history has stood up against unfair world leaders more harshly than Donald Trump has.

He knows that we are being ripped off around the world and he’s tired of it.

And he just made that more clear than ever with a single message that left every world leader’s jaw sitting on the floor.

Being forced to meet with President Donald Trump should be bad enough for most world leaders. He is such a master deal maker that they know he has his sights set on dismantling the weak deals negotiated by past presidents.

One deal that President Trump specifically wants to rework is the NATO alliance. NATO is a mutual defense alliance between 29 North American and European countries.

At its core, it is an agreement that if one of the 29 countries in the alliance gets attacked, all of the countries in the alliance side with them.

So on paper it sounds like a good thing. But as soon as you begin looking into how NATO is funded, it is quickly realized that it is an excuse for other countries to have the United States subsidize their defense spending.

22 percent of NATO funds come directly from the United States, with the country closest to matching that number being Germany, who provides 14 percent of NATO’s funding.

And while this is bad enough, U.S. Armed Forces also help protect NATO countries with direct boots on the ground, defending their countries, something that no other country in turn does for the U.S.

That’s why President Trump is fed up and fighting back. He announced through Twitter that at the upcoming NATO conference he is attending he will make clear that U.S. taxpayers footing the bill for their defense isn’t fair.

Trump also points out the fact that U.S. taxpayers are also ripped off through unfair tariffs with the European Union.

This isn’t the first step President Trump has taken to make his frustrations with NATO nations known.

Trump sent letters to the leaders of Canada, Norway, Germany, and Belgium just last week to make it clear that they are going to begin paying their fair share for defense.

That letter likely came in response to the intense disrespect he has received from those countries. Canada in particular has chosen to lash out at Trump.

Despite the fact that the United States has for many years helped Canada in a disproportionately beneficial relationship, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau chose to go after Trump and the United States.

Trudeau announced a plan to impose $12.6 billion in tariffs on the U.S. in response to Trump’s fair trade policy with the world.

That deal is very likely not going to go the way Trudeau wants it to. Donald Trump wrote the book on deals, and knows exactly how to craft a deal that is beneficial to him and the United States.

Trump seems like he is going to use those exact deal-making sk**ls with NATO leaders.

Do you think that President Trump is going to be able to make other NATO countries pay their fair share for defense?

Trump just does what the previous presidents tried to do (BS...they didn't try. That was theater) and failed.

The Europeans want to form their European nation with a single army anyway...why do they need us?

Yeah, yeah, America became the worlds richest nation, with the largest economy, and a superpower...................by letting everybody be mean to her, take advantage of her and treat her very, very unfairly.

If all it takes to become mega rich and powerful, is having people s**t on you...................I should be a pazillionaire.

When you're a weak, effeminate, cowardly, fat little man, and you know it - you take every opportunity to over compensate - by whining about everybody being mean and unfair to you. Makes me wonder about those who go "yeah, what he said........".

You need a history lesson .After the big war all of Europe was rubble and we created the marshal plan and rebuilt Europe and most of Asia.
Then we just got used to being the big daddy to every one.We have supported European socialism since the 40s and of course the ultimate
prize for demorats is for the us to join that disaster. Now Trump knows it won't work and is putting the breaks on.Of course you hear nothing from socialist except doom and gloom and for good reason, things are really starting to roll and they see the beginning of the end.

How is America the world's richest nation with $22 TRILLION and mounting in debt? How is America the richest nation in the world when the average American can’t scrape together $500 for an emergency, a third of Americans can’t afford food, shelter, and healthcare. Healthcare for a family now costs $28k — about half of median income, which is $50k, and the middle class is imploding.

The problem is that $50k doesn't go very far today. All the things that really elevate people’s quality of life — healthcare, finance, education, t***sport, housing, and so on — have come to consume such a large share of the average household’s income that they have little left to save, invest, or spend on anything else. And what’s worse, while the basics of life have seen massive inflation, wages and incomes (not to mention savings and benefits and safety nets and opportunities) for most have stagnated. The result is an economy — and a society — that’s collapsing.

All of this of course is the result of giving, for example, hedge funds control over drugs, or speculators control over housing, healthcare, and education — they will of course maximize profits at the expense of social investments.  Because handing capitalism control of the basics of life has caused massive, skyrocketing inflation in necessities, while flatlining middle class incomes.

So what has the average American done to maintain a decent quality of life for him and his family?---borrow, borrow, borrow. When they step over the proverbial line with debt the are punished severely and mercilessly. Oh, they can take bankruptcy, but look how they are punished. Banks, hedge funds, and corporations can take bankruptcy, liquidate their assets and the owners stay rich OR the taxpayers bail them out. They bear little to no risk unlike the average consumer.

Predatory capitalism coupled with total economic mismanagement of social investments has made the basics of life ruinously unaffordable. In this way, it’s effectively a poor country  with an ever widening wealth gap leaving a tiny number of ultra-rich.

History has told us this many times and is telling us this again but we aren't listening.

The 22% percent of the NATO budget paid by the U.S. looks less out of line it you consider that NATO is also defending the interests of the U.S. itself.
Putin may or may not have ever believed Russia should gobble up the Baltic states or Poland, but having NATO probable makes it that he wouldn't try.

Trump doesn't have a clue how the funding works with NATO, anymore than he has a clue what trade deficits are, and how to intelligently offset violations of trade.
