Our versions of why will differ. My version is that Mueller is working his way up the pyramid towards the top, an effective, time-validated prosecutor technique that seems to be working. It is just a matter of time before he reaches, indicts and convicts the man at the top.

McCarthy didn’t prove a thing except that he, himself, was a liar. I remember it. I was alive then and of an age when I knew what was going on. We used to discuss him over breakfast and dinner very often. I remember my dad reading the Boston Herald to us aloud, describing what McCarthy was doing. Dad would stamp his foot and say. “Horse s**t ! Horse s**t !”
