Based on his historical performance, he is a constitutionalist. And that is what matters. It must not be coming from the mouths of the liberals, democrats, socialists, or those who just h**e Catholics.

I think Judge Kavanaugh has the most balanced approached to his decisions on carrying out the mandates of the constitution.

No one is perfect, and I don't expect him to be perfect.

He wasn't my first pick of the final 4 but he wasn't my last either. He's got history and some of it is questionable (Vince Foster, Bushworld, etc.) but, just like the other 3 he's going to be light years better than the liberal activist we'd have gotten under Clinton. I believe the people who say that Trump chose him over Judge Barrett because she needs some seasoning (history, written decisions, etc.) in order to replace Ruth "Buzzie" Ginsberg and several Republican Senators (including Rand Paul??) said they wouldn't v**e for her. He's more likely to be approved. But as many of you are saying in one way or another - he has the opportunity to be a great originalist constitution-wise, or another Souter. We won't know until he's been seated. It's always a crap-shoot for conservatives.

Maybe you should check out Justice Kennedy's record. In all cases before the court, Kennedy ruled conservative 57%, and in close cases, he ruled conservative 71.3%. In Trump's current term, Kennedy v**ed conservative opinions in most 5-to-4 or 6-to-3 decisions in which he was in the majority. In fact, he agreed with Trump appointee Neil M. Gorsuch more than any other justice.

As I see it, all this alarmism over Kavanaugh is unfounded. I refuse to be influenced by the outrageous hostility toward anyone who is a benefit to the American republic, whether it comes from the unhinged liberal regressives or from conspiracy whackos. I shudder to think what the SCOTUS would look like if Hillary Clinton was POTUS. Thank God for small favors.

I don't own any property. I have a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance. When I get in my truck and "get onto the highways and streets", I go wherever the hell I want to go, no one hires me and I don't need a traveler's pass.
