Is my grandson a Democrat?!?

I'm worried. My 1 yr old grandson is at my house. He lives with his parents, does nothing for himself, pays for nothing, cries when he doesn't get his way, throws tantrums, and wears diapers that I have to change. I'm afraid this kid is a Democrat! Hope he outgrows it.

My adopted elephant, rescued from a back yard, was a Democrat. He ate, bellowed (trumpeted) when he did not get his way, and at times demanded changes to his ample diet plus music pipped into his stall. I got tired of this and realized that I have 90 acres of aging trees, prone to falling in bad weather. He now has a job and is now earning his 3 tons of food and his comfortable barn. The camel saw this and I have not had a complaint from him in months.

Does he look up at the sky when he screams and throws a tantrum? Then yes.

That my friend is a true story. This elephant came to me 3 years ago. I had to get special permits and he has to have access to 4 acres of grazing land at all times. He eats constantly and at odd hours he would trumpet, woke me many mornings before I was ready.

Anyway, I had to clear out the deadwood on some acres I own, it was a fire hazard and the forest was suffering. I did not want "loggers" to cut down the wood, they would require roads and such... so one morning this spring I thought about Levi (the elephant) and decided to give him a go. He was very agreeable and within a week he was grabbing the fallen trees and carrying them to a clearing where towns people could come and stock up on firewood. Levi likes his new job. Naturally, Levi gets lots of attention and love plus a trip to the river each night after he finishes work.

He is happy (no more pacing and trumpeting) no more fire hazard, no spoiling of the old forest, and those taking the wood will not have to buy any this winter. No more democrat elephant..... now if I could only find a job for the camel..... He enjoys spitting on others.... a definite democrat.

My elephant (or perhaps I am his human) would love to have your Mom as a friend.
This guy is funny.... when he hears me, he will trot toward me, kind of a shuffling run. When he came to us, he had been living in a small yard, he did not know how or what he should be doing with so much space. First thing he did, he found the medicine ball I placed in his enclosure and used it like a soccer ball, chasing it all over the place. In his new job, all you have to do is point to the tree to move, and he seems to enjoy placing it just so on a pile. He is a lot of fun to ride... anyway he is a gentle soul.... and he is young, about 22. His life expectancy is about 70 years..... believe it or not, he is in my will. I know he will out live me, so I had to make provisions for him. Now the camel, he is an ornery cuss... has a love h**e relationship with most people. I am still trying to figure him out. We got him from the hurricane (Harvey), we had gone to Texas to provide shelter for animals separated from owners. But, we found Clyde with a broken leg..... we brought him home and that wildlife park then closed.... So, Clyde the Bactrian camel or two hump camel now roams with the Lamas and with Levi.

You should put up a list of all of the different animals that you own or house it would be quite impressive I'm sure. Be careful with the elephant as they are not always gentle at least according to the animal channel that I watch on occasion.

Funny how honest work raises both human and animals IQs and normalizes their behavior, is this elephant and camel considered teenagers in elephant and camel years? Too funny, you should take before and after pics of the trees he/she clears. Are you the Mahout (elephant rider/handler/trainer)? Always wanted to ride one. It's been years since I've been to the local zoo, wonder if they still sell rides on elephants like they used to? That would be another bucket list item I could check off.

Hope you find Levi a wife someday and can enjoy a baby elephant on the farm. The YT vids I watch are so precious and they love affection. I'd know lamas spit too, I wonder if a little pepper spray applied at the right moment might cure them? Animals are pretty smart, maybe you could train them to be the first non-spiting herd. Just one of my many crazy ideas, ha. But that might make them meaner, might make them resort to biting or kicking, but it might work. I've been pepper sprayed and tear gassed many times due to my jobs so it isn't lethal and it does encourage changes in behavior.
