I've read Orgin of Species, Descent of man and the Voyage of Darwin And I've never heard of this quote and there are no complex life form's that can be viewed through a microscope

I don't see it and what does a microscope have to do with it. Charles Darwin did some good science but Darwin would most certainly be astonished at what scientific research has produced, results he couldn't have anticipated in his day. Three fields in particular, Geology, Genetics, and Paleoanthropology--illustrate both the gaps in Darwin's own knowledge and the power of his ideas to make sense came after him. Darwin would have been amazed to learn that the continents are in constant crawling motion at about the speed fingernails grow. He had not even the concept for the engine of evolution the Gene . "The term Genetics" wasn't coined until after 1902 long after hi death in 1882. The first hominid fossil Neanderthal Man was discovered just before Origin was published, he could not have known about the broad and varied history of ancestral humans. Yet his original theory has encompassed all these suppresses and more.
