ANALYSIS/OPINION:

“Beware the coming civil war!” Coming?

Oh, it’s already upon us. And it has been raging for some time now.

The once-serious political party known as “Democrats” has been hijacked by lawless lunatics who have been sowing discontent and fomenting violence for years now.

Just ask all the families of police officers in America who have been executed over the past four or five years by militants inspired by the so-called “Black L***s M****r” movement.

This would be the same movement that Democratic leaders are terrified of standing up to. When their last standard bearer — Hillary Clinton — made the grave error of declaring that “all l***s m****r,” she later issued an apology and a correction.

After a lifetime in politics, you would think that the woman might understand that political rhetoric has consequences.

Yes, this civil war is upon us.

Or ask all the American families who have suffered murder, dismemberment and terror at the hands of MS-13 gang members who streamed across the broken border. A border that the Democratic Party — back when it was still a serious outfit — agreed should exist.

A little more than a decade ago, Democratic leaders such as Mrs. Clinton, her husband, and former President Barack Obama all supported, argued for and v**ed for a physical barrier along the border to keep i*****l a***ns — especially violent gang members — from sneaking into the country.

Now, according to leadership all up and down the Democratic Party, holding such a position is somehow “r****t” or xenophobic and certainly h**eful.

The entire party has abandoned any support for an enforced border, seeking instead to score cheap political points at the cost of American security.

As a result, there is an invasion at our southern border and the only “rights” Democrats care about any more are those of the i*****l a***ns sneaking across the border.

Yes, this civil war is upon us.

It is only getting worse.

The Democrats just kicked out their fourth-ranking House member in favor of an avowed socialist who wants to abolish the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. Seriously?

This, along with the increasingly heated rhetoric comparing ICE and Border Patrol agents to N**is (yes, these kids are totally illiterate and never learned one minute of history), suggests this civil war is going to only get worse.

Or just listen to the loudmouth leaders of the Democratic Party today, actually arguing that the president of the United States somehow does not have the authority — let alone constitutional responsibility by oath — to make sure America’s enemies do not infiltrate our country so that they can wage some barbaric jihad against American citizens.

Yes, this civil war is upon us.

Ask House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, who is still recovering from an assassination attempt by a disaffected Bernie Sanders supporter who plotted to k**l dozens of members of Congress for being Republican.

Yes, this civil war is upon us.

And when you look around at Democratic leaders applauding and encouraging the open harassment of political opponents out in public, you know things are only going to get worse.

Trump should declare Marshall law. He wants to. He needs to. He'll get supported absolutely by his quisling minions. Go for it, Donald. You will be the supreme leader like your friends Kim, Dutarte, Putin and Erdogan. You can all have a summit together to compare the exquisite experience of complete control of your subjects. You love being the boss and you'll love being the supreme leader. You will be able to shut up anyone who criticises you. Come on do it. Otherwise people will say you don't have the cojones.

Which "Marshall" is he going to use? Can't be Marshall Dillon, because James Arness passed away. You should look stuff up before you expose your ignorance publicly. Martial Law is military governance. In Ex parte Milligan 1866, the SCOTUS ruled that MARTIAL Law can only be imposed if civil authority has broken down, and can only be imposed in the area where this breakdown has occurred and only until such time as civil authority is restored.
The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 limits how the military can be used in domestic law enforcement.
The cherished Liberal Hobbit Dancer notion of martial law being declared nationally is, (like so many Liberal articles of faith,) complete and total nonsense.
By the way, before you use quisling or any other important sounding word, you should look up... (who am I kidding?) get someone to look up the definition for you.

My apologies I thought the topic of the originating post was about civil war which obviously involves the 'the break down of civil authority'.
As to limitations on martial law, you don't seriously believe the supreme leader will consider being limited by a court decision which he surely will interpret to his advantage.
From the above responses it also appears there are two opposing views on whether the Posse Comitatus Act would prohibit the domestic use of the military for suppression of r*******n.
Trump will characterize the rebels as enemies of the people who should be treated as an invading force. Respect for the rule of law is in short supply in the White House.
Quisling is a fair description of Trump's minions.

Martial law, you mean.

Why would he do such a thing?

Were you folks planning on going out and exercising your first amendment right to harass people you don't like?

Be very careful whom you call quisling, sweetpea. Your definition includes quite a few people who wore this country's uniform and stood in harm's way to defend the constitution that gives you the right to call names; which is more than you ever did in your entitled, self-righteous, self-serving life.
Lots of Trump v**ers and supporters put it on the line to protect the right of simpering Liberal assholes to fart their opinions in public.

Exactly. They show their asses when they know they're being protected and in safe zones.

They're not tough enough follow through.

That being the case; you especially should find a place to hide, if and when violence descends upon you and your family.
