Good for you, I was about to give up writing for the day, you made me feel better. Thanks. Maybe there is some hope, my German Grandmutter( the wisest lady I ever met), said, "Things have to get worse before they get better". I hope that will be our nations t***h.

My mother in law is German. Came here as a teenager during WW2 after a horrible journey out of Germany. She is now 80, and always has a positive outlook on things.
It took a few years for us to understand each other because she tends to be controlling, and I tend to buck being controlled. But, after 23, or 4(?)
years, we get along great. The only thing we've gotten sideways over in years has been my dog, and that's an ongoing battle.
You just can't convince that hard headed old lady that this breed of dog isn't dangerous! You just hang in there, and get to know some of us. We ain't all bad.

I believe that, just get frustrated when peoples only replies are curses and slander(on both sides) these are complex issues that need thoughtful solutions NOT Ranting. The two best bi-partisan Admins, Eisenhower & Reagan, the Repub Pres would argue, then have a bourbon with the Demo Leaders of both houses. Can you imagine that today?/ All the politicians are to blame, it is that focus on winning( very much a lawyer stance) and short term e******ns that created the problem and it has accelerated with a Black President( who so many hatted) and an Orange Pres( sorry I couldn't resist) that turned up the volume on discord. I am against banns on any group, but might be persuaded if it banned Lawyers.
Just one more thought, when I interviewed people for jobs, many times, would always ask: what is the worst, most damaging business decision you have ever made"? If they answered with a shocked,NONE, they never got the job.

See? Now we're talking! I've been here a long time, and do understand your frustration. I just take it all with a grain of salt myself. I've made some pretty good friends here from all over the country, and on all sides of the issues that we can't fix. I'm not a Trump lover, always despised him, but I do like most of what he's trying to do. That being said, I'm not for banning groups either, but keeping those who wish to do us harm, or profit from our system is critical to me.
And we are in agreement on lawyers. They are definitely a destructive force in our country.
