I once had a Law Professor (yes, only a few subjects night school) who told me if anyone believes the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) is not political then they must be stupid. He gave an example (relevant to today) President F.D. Roosevelt inherited a SCOTUS from a conservative Pres. Hoover who made rulings he disagreed with. Pres. Roosevelt asked for a change to our Constitution (Amendment) dealing with the Supreme Court. The SCOTUS started issuing rulings favorable to (he would agree with) Pres. F.D. Roosevelt. You don’t have to elect a judge for that judge to be political. Remember when civil rights for a black population was bad politics? George Wallace ran for President as a Republican? Really? You forgot this!?
You forgot? Please try to remember a few names Mao Tse-tung, Ho Chi Minh, Le Duan, Ton Duc Tha-ng. Remember any of these? How about Joseph Stalin? Legendary Dictators who declare something classified, otherwise national security, so they can keep all the information to themselves. F*****m, C*******ts, N**i’s names through history.

The huge Catholic Migration from North Vietnam to South Vietnam, some million people. You forgot this? All the lies I can only tell you what I saw with my own eyes. South Vietnam a few families traveling south to find a city, not the slightest coin between them, hardly clothes. The North VC came to them, literally stole the men, young men (like 13 year olds) including young women, maybe k**led a couple people, certainly raped a few women, usually in-front of those who didn’t want to see but it helped with the fear. Think about it! They didn’t have a portable TV, radio among them and nobody wanted them around for several reasons. So these people slept along-side of the road. I watched them while most the time I was in the bush. How did these people stay informed of anything? Guess you didn’t think of that.

I don’t blame all the liars people elect, I blame the people. There are so many liars, including the media, because YOU v**ed for them, encouraged them. YOU did wh**ever you could to encourage them, so they lie to you on a common basis. Lying has become “acceptable conduct” to U.S. society. There aren’t enough hours in the day to track-down all the lies, but I do take a few to research.

There is a difference between me and other people (I don’t have pleasant names for) once someone has lied to me, I catch them usually research, I don’t believe them again and certainly do nothing to encourage them. I blame myself too. I v**ed for this Trump guy and caught him lying many times. Media I call “Entertainment”. Think about it, the attractiveness of the hosts. These so-called TV hosts are not reading news, they are reading a script! One reading told me on this site there are only two political parties money and those without money (close enough). Most people have no idea what this country is about, is easier to blame someone who wrote the Constitution they did something wrong than to take blame or even think. In fact, we have a society of people who put no effort into anything, including easier to blame someone else than to look in the mirror. There is that stupid blame issue, laziness, self-centered, couldn't be me (they say) I'm blameless, it's always someone else, sounds like a kid blaming the purple people eater for knocking the lamp on the floor.

Cripple, certainly your mind is functioning superbly. We have lost a generation in the United States due to an educational public school socialist indoctrination. With mothers out of the home letting bureaucrats raise their kids and an incessant devaluation of our currency's purchasing power, the lessons learned are that hard honest work does not pay off. These kids are ripe for the picking.

Maybe the Internet will level the playing field here. We cannot leave everything up to the Supreme Court to save the nation. Just take a look at our bizarre immigration policies, well defined, being ignored. Obama refused Cuban refugees as he opened up trade with Castro now that we are friends! Meanwhile, our sanctuary cities accept terrorists, anarchist, c*******t, f*****ts, neo-n**is, fugitives and criminals: Pashtun Taliban, Iranian Hamas and Hezbollah, al Qaeda, ISIS, the Croatian Utashi, the Ukrainian Bandera gangs, FARC c*******t rebels, MS13, the Peruvian Shining Path, Mexican gang-bangers, the Russian Mafia, and the oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky operating a campaign to oust Putin from the safety of the sanctuary city San Francisco. Pull up Khodorkovsky's website openrussia.org, mimicking George Soros' Open Society Institute. Soros may be nuts, but Khodorkovsky is a very crafty c*******t and international fugitive wanted for murder.

Of course, we don't hear the full story about this open border nonsense today from the mainstream media. The Supreme Court today made the right ruling backing our President for defending our nation. True asylum seekers can come through our legal border crossings and ports of entry all the time and legally apply for sanctuary status on the spot.

So, what's the beef? This has nothing to do with r****m. The illegal Mexican share croppers can easily get a work permit once we start prosecuting their employers. The Democrats want to create so much social turmoil as to topple our government completely. The public is waking up to this nonsense and backing President Trump. If we can keep Trump and a Republican majority in the Senate for 8 years, they can appoint several more constitutionally conservative judges to the Supreme Court. We must use the Internet to beat the One-eyed, One-horned Flying Purple People Eater's monopoly on the t***h. Don't despair.

Did Ruth Bader Ginsburg set a new record for a SCOTUS member "coming out of the (political) closet" in 2016?

America is still waiting for her to keep her promise, to move to New Zealand.

Seems to me tho that they wouldn't let her in, our loss.

I suspect more know about it than you realize, Weasel. For those who don't, here is a capsulization of the incident.....

Attack on Senator Charles Sumner

Passions ran high in the years leading up to the Civil War. In one of the most violent events in the history of the Senate during this period, one of its members was subjected to a severe beating while seated at his desk on the floor of the old Senate Chamber.

On May 19, 1856, Charles Sumner of Massachusetts had delivered a fiery speech condemning those who proposed extending s***ery into the Kansas territory. Many of his attacks were aimed at senators from the south including Andrew Butler of South Carolina.

Three days after the speech was delivered Representative Preston Brooks of South Carolina (a relative of Senator Butler) entered the nearly deserted Senate Chamber where he found Senator Sumner working at his desk. Declaring the speech a "libel on South Carolina" Brooks fiercely and repeatedly beat the senator on the head and shoulders with his cane, which finally broke into pieces from the strain. Senator Sumner struggled to escape his assailant, who calmly left the scene after his cane broke.

The south hailed Brooks as a hero while the north claimed Sumner as an abolitionist martyr. While Sumner recovered from his injuries (he was absent from the Senate for three years) admirers sent Brooks canes as gifts.

I hear your frustration and feel your anger. When you have a group of more than three people, then it is true the topics wherever they are born from, become political. I don't remember who said it, but Mel Gibson said it in the movie "Patriot", when Benjamin Martin(Gibson) turned to his fellow colonialists and said, "Do I trade one tyrant 3000 miles away for 3000 tyrants one mile away?"

Funny thing about politics though, just like culture, religion, race and creed, the principles are political. And politics is just a way of solving these problems. Now the bigger the bureaucracy, the bigger the politics. What I mean here, is that people will lie, c***t, steal, and murder to get their own way.

As far as lying, I have noticed that there are many that don't understand what a lie is. I can forgive a person from lying as the lie is exposed as "the person giving the information does not know it is a lie", or even if at the time of the statement, the statement was not a lie but became a lie after the fact. We all know that a lie is a false t***h. But when t***h becomes a lie that is dangerous territory. If the person did not know the t***h and was assuming that the statement was the t***h that is one thing. But the blatant denial of t***h or principle is an unforgivable lie.

Among the conditions of the human person, that come out quite often in a social atmosphere, are politics, religion, culture, logic and reason. Principles make a framework of rules to govern these conditions. The campaigning for a person or an idea, is politics. The theory of God or a supreme being is religion. Now religion can have politics by itself and is most prone to political reasoning. Then you have culture which is built upon both religion and politics. Finally there is logic and reason.

The framers of the Constitution of the United States under stood these conditions, and framed the conditions in an orderly fashion to allow freedom for all and to limit the government to deter tyrants. Therefore, instead of using in modern law, religion, politics, culture, social interaction, as foundations for law, they used simple and plain logic and reason.

Through logic and reason and understanding or a wisdom develops which negates some rules established in politics, religion, culture, etc. Problems occur when one side of a situation becomes intolerant to the other side. Like Left wing politics or right wing politics, or even liberal vs conservatives etc. What we are witnessing right now in American History is a time where the Right wingers, (generally called conservatives) and the left wingers(generally called liberal) are refusing to work in peace and harmony together. On one side we have a complaint with no foundation (liberal media), on the other side we have conservatives who can't decide what to do. But both sides do not like who is leading the country.

So the liberals attack Trump, going against the very same principles they have been preaching for over 40 years. The conservatives seem to be dumbfounded as Mitt Romney was when he got President Obama to admit that Obama was responsible for the deaths of the Americans in B******i.

Meanwhile Trump is shoring up the country by taking action. He does this by following the Laws passed by Congress and now, the very ones who supported such laws are demonizing the President for following the laws they wrote and passed.

Now that I've established the principles of the frame work this country has established. And now that I've identified the problems that we face, I ask you all you parents out there, How do we keep the kids from fighting and resolve this intolerable show of force from with in this country?

How?

Slight correction, Ranger, as the Dred Scott SCOTUS Decision came on March 6, 1857...not 1859. Mr. Scott died Sept.17, 1858.

Dred Scott first went to trial to sue for his freedom in 1847. Ten years later, after a decade of appeals and court reversals, his case was finally brought before the United States Supreme Court. In what is perhaps the most infamous case in its history, the court decided that all people of African ancestry -- s***es as well as those who were free -- could never become citizens of the United States and therefore could not sue in federal court. The court also ruled that the federal government did not have the power to prohibit s***ery in its territories. Scott, needless to say, remained a s***e. The SCOTUS, at the time, was dominated by five former southern s***e-owners, including Chief Justice Roger Taney.

Thank you for correcting me on the dates but the meaning still stands. A supreme court decision that today would be wrong was made by the Supreme Court. Therefore the Supreme Court can make errors and is not the end-all-be-all authority.

NO one has the Constitutional Right to become a citizen of the United States without going through the LEGAL Procedure.
It is a privilege not a right in today's world.
