In 1985, I purchased my first five ounces of gold for a little over $300 per ounce.
When it went up over $400 in 1988 I stopped buying gold.
Gold is now up over$1200.
Do you mean to tell me you can't scrape up a measly $1200.

We also bought several ounces of gold many years ago, along with a few ounces of platinum, and a lot of silver.
Since we were investing in metals, and felt the need to protect the above three, we invested heavily in brass, lead, copper, and steel.
