The continued presence of aristocracy and nobility is an insult to humanity, a shame to our existence

The Royal Wedding: hard to find anything more insulting to the "common man." Poo poo Rumi, such a downer. Just pageantry and tradition, mere pomp and circumstance. No harm intended. Celebrating history. Just a visit to the illustrious past.

What history? Dictatorial rule, persecutions, oppression, classism, religious attacks and so much more rich ugly rule. Letting the Irish die in the millions in the 19th Century, twice. God bless the queen.

Am I overreacting? How about imperialistic colonialism using and abusing whole nations of people for Profit by the home country? No matter, it's in the past. Look at that dress on Meghan!

Rumi, are you just a h**er extraordinaire. Is there anything you like? Get a freaking life.

The British rule of a king is what we rebelled against in 1776, the whole notion, nuance, and extent of such a despotic rule. A threshold obviously came when they saw something radically different than the world had ever seen was necessary. God's grace. What was wrong when the Jews asked God for a king, putting a political force between them and their father, which the father reluctantly agreed to, was still wrong more than 5000 years later.

When we honor ine******y it subconsciously undermines our drive for freedom.

Sounds like you may need an exorcism, I can refer you to an experienced priest if you'd like.

The Royals are g*******t to the bone and wield a great deal of influence.

They will be among the elite g*******ts think they wish to be ruled by.

Jesus was the Great equalizer. No is is greater or lesser in the kingdom of God. Not even Hitler, had he confessed Jesus as lord and confessed his sins a moment before death.

As you can probably tell, I no longer take all this bickering and political posturing seriously anymore, it just doesn't go anywhere.

If you learn how to read and understand the Book and the Person you don't believe in but like to quote...you would know the way I do that the governments of men are an a*********n to begin with and even the best (ours!) is fatally flawed.

You would also know that the Jesus you don't believe in will form the government you mistakenly think we can.

What is this statement about Hitler???

You are confusing things. What does Romans13:1 say? "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God." God appointed but an a*********n? If God is in charge of ordaining our political power, how did we get dictators? If George the III was ordained by God, then our American Revolution, according to Romans13:2, brought judgment on themselves for "rebelling against what God has instituted." Is there some addendum or loophole I am missing? God ordained the governing authorities of Pol Pot, George III, Stalin, Obama, Hitler, Caligula and so forth?

No...I'm not mistaking or confusing and I have an answer. In fact, I already gave you part of the answer but you have to familiarize yourself with the rest of scripture (rabbinical study, in a way) or nothing I say will make sense because you're stuck where your own thirst ended and now your cup is full.

Here's the piece of the answer I already gave you:

ALL human governments are an a*********n to God to begin with. If you wanted to begin to know what God thinks of human government read the account of their demand for a king.

You might ask "How can human governments be an a*********n if God establishes them?"

I know the answer and it lies in perspective. Some things are written in a temporal context and some an eternal context.

Here's another clue. History is not "unfolding" to God. Creation...time and space (this includes all history and the future) are already accomplished from the eternal perspective in a single act.

Hitler happened because the Fall happened...which God allowed in His single, Sovereign act of creation.

It is clear in the Bible that God does not know the future, or if he does he deceives.
