Too Few Conservatives in the Senate

It's bad enough that Republicans are the minority party in the Senate. However, when one considers that the majority of Republican Senators are actually RINOs, then the frustration really hits! Unfortunately, the major motivation for these politicians is power over "common" people and wealth. They do not care about people or the Constitution. They secretly subscribe to the liberal agenda and publically oppose it. There are only a few (Rand Paul being one) that actually try to follow and uphold the Constitution. The people need to recognize these RINO Senators, v**e them out, and replace them with true Conservatives.

Well said, snowbear37, beautifully said. Every word true. Unfortunately, too many v**ers, even Republican v**ers, either aren't conservative or they don't KNOW what conservative means. I believe we should be more direct in our labeling of politicians.

Just a thought: Liberal, conservative, democrat, republican, socialist, Marxist, C*******t, F*****t, progressive - can ALL be boiled down into 2 major groups: those who revere individual freedom and those who are proponents of CONTROL of others. The majority of leaders, world-wide, tend to be in the CONTROL group. Apparently all liberals, democrats, socialists, Marxists, C*******ts, Progressives, an F*****ts also fall into the CONTROL group. Many Republicans also fall into the CONTROL group, most without thinking about control vs individual freedom. It is impossible to believe in individual freedom AND be in the CONTROL group. My personal view is that perhaps we should begin referring to our candidates for office as those who believe in individual freedoms vs those who want to CONTROL us. How would you feel about this? (Just for the record, individual freedom should not mean that a woman can abort a healthy fetus merely for convenience' sake - remember it isn't HER life she is aborting - it is another soul's life she is taking, and that is not part of HER "individual freedom".)

I agree whole-heartedly about your assessment of the control vs. freedom loving groups. You are spot-on about a******n. The problem is that most people think about themselves first and others after (maybe). How many people would run for Congressional office if they had to abide by the same policies and rules as everyone else? Why do people spend millions to attain a job that will only make them $174,000.00 per year? CONTROL!! I tend to agree with and v**e for those I consider "Constitutional Conservatives". You are also correct about "uninformed v**ers". Yes, it is our responsibility to v**e, but more importantly, it is our responsibility to know what we are v****g for.

I think that Ted Cruz is the only conservative in the US Senate. The welfare of the country is totally ignored by this bunch of self serving worthless politicians. They have dishonored themselves and the people that elected them by their total disregard for the oath of office they swore to.

I agree 100%! When it comes right down to it, no matter if you are a RINO, or DEM, REP, INDEP, or a RAINBOW coalition, we are ALL Americans. After gladly serving my country for over 22 years in the Army, the only thing I will say is, if the citizen's of America do not come together as one force to control the government we now have, we will lose it as we now know it. The divisions between the people are a direct, controlled effect of the sitting Administration and must be stopped. The loss of the 2nd Amendment will mean a loss of the America we now know.

It would be about time! The 2nd Amendment isn't the first freedom we've lost over the past few years. It's time to stop the loss of our freedoms before we have none left! Then it will be too late (if it isn't already).

It certainly makes a lot more sense to classify our politicians this way. Either you agree with the party of "CONTROL" or the party of "FREEDOM"

Thanks, Manny. A person can be a democrat in most ways, but if he v**es for individual freedoms, he's a good guy in my book. A person can be a republican, but if he v**es against individual freedoms, he's a bad guy in my book. It makes MY life easier to think in those terms.

I surely agree with your method of determining the good guys and the bad guys. My present governor is one of those bad guys who hid behind his R while in the Senate. He is slowly destroying our state. I h**ed it when I had to v**e for him or a Democrat for governor so I just didn't v**e for the office.

My favorite Representative of all time is still in the House but got taken away from me with the most recent redistricting. I still support him, totally, because he stands up against both Obama and Boehner and all other establishment people. Neither of my present day Senators v**es any but right, in my mind, on anything that comes along. I guess that makes 1/435 of the House good and 2/100 of the Senate good guys.

The best way to get the people in government we want, is to V**E! I hear people say all the time that their "v**e doesn't count". If more people believe this and don't v**e because of it, then, the left have already won. V**e, get involved in local politics(this is the best way to get your voice heard), get involved with the youth of your town-teach them the true path to what being an "American" really means. Local politics are the grass root foundation of America's freedoms. Local, County, and State politics are where the real fight is. This is where real change is made, and effects the most people. Don't wait for someone else to do it. Less than a handful of hours a month volunteering in your town can prove more rewarding than a lifetime on one of these sites. Real change at the local level has a cascading effect "upwards". More change at this level means more change at the top of the government ladder.

@Oldroy, hey, any percentage of good v**es is better than no percentage of good v**es - and I'll wager that some people go through their entire lives without EVER having any representation in Congress.

I really need to get a link to a thing a nice lady from North Carolina sent me about v****g in that state. It is an excellent one about what is going on there and how much the ABC people there sound like Almost C*******t they sound.
