Busy day today. Today in 1942, the Battle of Midway began. This was a critical turning point in the Pacific War, destroying the threat of the Japanese Navy. The outnumbered US fleet inflicted such heavy damage on the Japanese Navy that it never recovered.
Today in 1754, George Washington built Fort Necessity. He would have to surrender to the French and evacuate.
Today in 1975, Angelina Jolie was born.
Today in 1919, the 19th Amendment became law, giving women the right to v**e.
Today in 1989, the Tiananmen Square Massacre took place.

Once again, you missed an important event that took place on "this day in history." June 4th, 1953, my kid brother was born. I won't bring up the 19th Amendment being passed by congress.

I forgive you.

Well, now, don't I feel like the fool. I actually have six brothers, but did overlook your having listed the 19th amendment. I must be getting old. Will you forgive me

Have you heard from AuntiE lately?
