Are any of you aware of this requirement for an enhanced ID, to be required by 2020, to have standing , in any de facto corporate governance interaction???

The answer: I called the VA they said Oregon DMV. Oregon DMV can't get it done so they offer talk and an extension. Some states offer Enhanced ID for travel into Canada.

It is the "Real ID Act of 2005" which is Title B within of Public Law 109-13 (Act Making Emergency Supplemental

Appropriations for Defense, the Global War on Terror, and Tsunami relief, for the fiscal year ending September 20, 2005, and for other purposes) passed on May, 2005.

I am a bit perplexed, you linked to a defense appropriation act and seem to take offense at the real ID act which to my knowledge is the requirement for specific identification to board aircraft and for travel by car or on foot for US citizens returning from Canada or Mexico. It is pretty obvious, a citizen is a person born in the US or abroad to US parents or a naturalized immigrant, while a national of the US is a landed immigrant with temporary or permanent resident status. The law just says you must present a birth certificate green card or other documentation to obtain a State issued ID. In the instance states do not comply a passport or federal ID is required to cross into the US or board commercial aircraft.

India and other places have already linked their ID with the person's right to work. That's close to a third of the world's population with plenty of others well on the path.
