cbpat1, It's not a question of Democrats being mean spirited, it's a question of Trump's terrible behaviors. I've lived seventy three years, much of which was under a Conservative president. Besides Bush, Jr., I can't even think of a president that was as terrible as Trump. Nobody even comes close. Just this week, he has made known his desire to meet with some of the worlds worst dictators, while seemingly do everything he can to cause lasting harm to the Western alliance that has protected us since World War Two. I have no knowledge of any Democrats assaulting Trump supporters, but I do remember Trump saying that he would like to have Democratic protesters assaulted at a campaign assembly. I understand that many young Democrats have lost patience with Trump's behavior, and policies, and do not support their behavior, but I understand it. What I don't understand is why Trump has supporters in spite of his lies, and terrible behaviors. His policies are just as maddening. His call for increasing coal production, and similar insults to the environment are outrageous, and are giving miners false hope, when they should be training for better jobs. He supports taking funds out of desperately needed public education and giving it to private schools, his coziness with guys like Putin and other dictators that mean real harm to the vital interests of our country, and so much more. I hope that my response to your statement about the behavior of Democrats helps you understand the attitude of Democrats towards Trump and his cultists!

For the life of me, I just can’t figure out why the party of love, peace and tolerance is so darn mean spirited? If your not one of them, then your an automatic r****t. That’s their first thing that they hit you with, then come the made up stories, no need for facts anymore. If you v**ed for President Trump, they will shout you down, call you every name in the book, and lots of times have even physically assaulted his supporters, although CNN and MSNBC won’t show footage of it.

I read the posts on this forum, and not all the Trump supporters are the most polite posters in the world either, but, usually it is in response to a nasty post by a Trump h**er, but when I read a Democrats post it makes my stomach turn sometimes. Nasty names, outright lies and made up nonsense or a photoshopped picture of Trump golfing wearing white pants with a big s**t stain on his rear end, constantly calling him a r****t. Why? What good does it do anyone? Rosanne makes a stupid tweet and her show gets cancelled, which I figure was ABC’s right to do, but then along comes Samantha Bee with her now famous comment calling Ivanka Trump a feckless cunt, and she doesn’t even get reprimanded, and I haven’t heard any calls for her firing from CNN or MSNBC. Why not? I can only presume because they are applauding her for what she said. Also her show was not live, it was taped! Any decent network would have cut that out, but, not good old TBS. Its getting ugly and it’s not President Trump’s fault, it’s the people that can’t accept the reality that he actually beat Hillary Clinton. Just my theory, but, I think I might be onto something.

Photo shopped images of Mrs. Obama with male sex organs has been a right wing trope for quite a while. Mrs. Clinton has also had her fair share of distasteful altered images posted on this site. I've seen the s**t stain photo several times.
