Well not really, I’ve thought that also but then if you start looking at and reading all the different data from all the different sources it’s across the board really.

Even Trump is skeptical now about these data collection agencies and their reporting.

Many long years ago (late 50's), I read in an Economics text book about unemployment rates during WWII. During the war, when virtually everyone was either in the military, or a war industry, or farming, mining or railroading, etc., the unemployment rate was approximately 4%. It included handicapped, jailbirds, etc., but I have always wondered about the accuracy of a 4% figure in today's world. Some patriotic towns even let the H.S. students off during the harvest to pick crops and help on the farms and thousands of women worked in defense plants manufacturing war materials. Figures can all too often be crafted to suit an end. Still, I must agree that many people are working now that were unable to find a job during the last few years.

I know a bit about all the march-in-place jobs with no future: I washed dishes, stocked store shelves, sanded cars in a body shop, parked cars, etc. But I saved enough that I was able to go to college, got my degree and served in the military for 26 years. I have a comfortable retirement, many benefits and consider myself rich. I own my own home, eat well and drive a well maintained car that is 20 years old. I invested a bit so I can relax and scoff at the ne'er do wells that are too damned lazy to take a go nowhere job as a first step. I don't know anyone that immediately qualified for top management right out of school. Too many want to arrive without making the trip!

I understand and I had all those jobs too...
most of the problem in society today is attributed to lack of education and good home life...
then the i*****l i*********n disaster plot contributed further to the ongoing wreckage to our way of Middle Class life.

It spreads like a cancer and now they’re trying to finish us off with sham tax bills and policy shaping encroaching on our rights, economy, sovereignty...

And the BEAT Goes ON !

Trump can’t have it both ways much longer.

That’s a very very small part of the picture and you’re being a SmartAss in mundane commentary.

Well, at least I'm not the last half, like you.

Education and job sk**ls will get wages raised quicker than anything else.

There are no high paying jobs for high school dropouts or common labor.

Should a high school dropouts that flips hamburgers get the same pay as a nurse who spent six years in college to get a nursing degree.

NO YOU GET WHAT YOU ARE WORTH.

Exactly correct! Wages have to follow productivity and an individual that can produce more, faster is going to be the wage leader. The putterer that simply goes through the motions may get to keep their job but only until a real producer comes along. And the more complex the task, the higher the income benefits. In an extreme example, a street sweeper can not expect to make what a nuclear scientist earns. Pretty logical!
