Americans do not have near enough treasure to keep her economy chugging along, it requires a lot of trading, trading with entities off shore. Recent events have de-incentivized our trading partners to continuing doing so. One cannot keep thumbing one's nose at one's allies and trading partners, and expect no retaliation, unless one is completely delusional.

The US does not have to bow to the opinions of it's neighbors, allies or trading partners, but it does have to listen to them - that's just common sense. Doing the opposite of what the International community advises, especially without explanation, will always be viewed as a slap in the face. That is also common sense. Treating other Nations as second class entities, will never gain allies and will quickly lose what allies existed, leaving one alone in the world.

The messages the US gives by it's actions, cannot be explained away as some grand strategy, no one will believe it anyway. The US bombs certain sites, in retaliation for k*****g children with chemical munitions, while ignoring the carnage visited on children by conventional munitions - in the same country. The US ignores the misery and death in Yemen, instead coopting Saudi Arabia's premise for going to war there - providing no poof whatsoever on it's own. The US ignores the death, rape, and m********n of children in Myanmar, and every else in the world. What message does that send? The message is - the US is easily distracted, and only interested in dramatic endeavors.

The US hurriedly moved it's Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, without engaging anyone else involved, and without a plan for peace. This action again provided another slap in the face to the few remaining US allies. This comes immediately after the biggest slap in the face, defying the international community and abrogating the US's responsibilities under the JCPOA. To be clear, Israel does not have enough treasure to trade with the US, to keep it's economy going, yet we seem bent on ensuring that Israel will be our only neighbor from now on.

One can come up with a myriad of reasons for doing this or that, but one must calculate the consequences as well. Sometimes NOT doing something is the smarter move. The US has managed to distance itself from nearly every other nation on the planet, with it's defiance, disrespect and indifference. One may stand proudly upon the f**g, and wh**ever other touchy feely crap one likes, but when a chicken thigh sells for $15 and only the independently wealthy can afford to buy gas, one will consider climbing down off of one's high horse...............and join the rest of the human race. You know, regular folks, who aren't arrogant, entitled and delusional Americans.

The United States is not God's gift to the world, God gifted us with the United States......................we are failing to deserve that incredible gift. Much is required from those to whom much is given, yet our attitude today is - the world owes us something. We've got that paradigm completely backwards,.

Murdering millions of God's innocent children doesn't earn America anything, but our goodness is better than our badness.

The world does owe America thanks for all of the good we've shared with those that don't have our freedoms and prosperity.

America doesn't owe the world spit.

Stores like wal-mart destroyed their founders policy of selling only American made items. When hee died his heirs became money hungry and destroyed their fathers vision. Now you have a hart time even finding an American made product.

Cheap imported products has caused many stores to go out of business and loss of thousands of jobs.

Lust for money is destroying America businesses and jobs.

God bless America and President Trump

The world owes us much.

They just don't pay.

They only want more.

We owe China.

But Trump is working on that.

With China, Japan, North and South Korea and Israel as allies, Who Needs Europe ?

Europe will soon be Islam.

We are by know means perfect. However; the U.S. has shed more of its own blood for other countries than any country in history. European countries are no longer reliable allies. They are giving away their own country and culture to the savages, yet you would kiss their ass. The message we are giving is our country will no longer foot the bill and get nothing in return.

This is a prime example of the errors we grew up believing. The US did not defeat the axis powers by itself. Our allies had been fighting alone for at least two years. The US had the advantage of NOT having it's factories and cities bombed and it's civilian population k**led. The US had vast resources close to hand and did not need to import them, making Her virtually self sufficient.

America had very few civilian casualties, our allies civilian casualties numbered in the 10's of millions. Our allies military losses out numbered ours by 5:1 ( Russia by 20:1 ). The US MADE money from the war.................our allies ALREADY PAID for our services.

Hubris is an ugly attribute.

That is patently false, the US did NOT shed more blood than any other country, we're just taught that to make us believe in exceptionalism. More blood has been shed in other countries at our behest, than we've ever shed for them.

It is not false. I suppose you forgot WWII. We are exceptional in relative terms.

Gosh dang right!!!

America has spread its wealth and military before many a country who despise us for our success, not appreciate the efforts..

Not all decisions have been right but we do have fair more successes than failures.
When these countries find themself in trouble they come asking The United States of Americs to help..More often than not we help..
Its what we do and should do yet who ever comes to our aid??

The moving of Jerusalem promised for tweny/thirty years was going to stir animosity whenever it was done..Trump fullfilled that promise and in doing so hopefully peace can ultimately come.. Maybe not now but work towards it..

We are the greatest Nation and yes, gifted to us so that we may stand in what she represents for all, Freedom here and abroad.. It is our responsibility to insure she continues to flourish and I like “make America great” as our renewed pledge to upholding our Constitution and she being first consideration..!!

That's A Fact.

By it's primary definition, the word "hubris" means excessive p***e and self confidence.

That's what it takes to win.

Get yourself some hubris and get with the program.
