Like his hero (unreal), the infamous and disgraced Andrew Jackson, Trump wants his own "Trail of Tears"

"The only good immigrant is a deported immigrant." That appears to be the sentiment of our president. "Dreamers," 300,000 here under protected status, and even documented immigrants are being targeted for export to wh**ever horrible fate may await them, never mind a total disruption to their lives. We need to tear down the Statue of Liberty--seriously!, it is no longer a symbol of America--and erect a huge sign reading, "Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore are not welcome here."

In Trump's drooling obsession to appease his White Nationalist base, like his efforts to erase any legacy of a Black president at the risk of nuclear war with Iran and North Korea, he disgraces and destroys America's ideal as the "city on a hill." No more exceptionalism. A nation that has grown and profited greatly through the contributions by immigrants of various countries, a rich and vital history and credit to our principles, Trump has now made us a den of scardey-cat bigots. The harm he has done to our image and psyche through his unhinged actions is profound. A steady inculcation of fear and h**e, doubt and despair.

I did not realize it until I watched the Olympics. It was when an announcer said that America had swept an event. Always, this was cause for me to get wildly excited: "USA! USA! USA!" But instead I felt little of anything. That really bothered me: why? And it slowly dawned that I was no longer proud of what America had become under Trump. Winning sports events was not what made America great; it was part of it, by our spirit of liberty, a sign of our exceptionalism. Now, the other part was missing: our position as the torch of freedom for the world. Trump has extinguished that flame. Great sadness overwhelmed me. It was such an unconscious and sudden realization that America was no longer what it meant to me a year ago. The change in my attitude went mostly unnoticed, no matter how much I thought Trump was bad for this nation. A subtle shift in perspective his lies and policies created in my mind. Others must be going through the same thing, everyone but his staunch base that rejoices in his anti-American actions.

She did provide a fact! Did you discuss this very subject on one of your threads yesterday? Did you forget posting it? I think that is a reasonable question!

I didn’t see facts in any of your comments.......All I read was exaggerated, overly dramatic, rambling opinions of a man with too much time on his hands! Don’t demand others to provide facts when you only provide your opinion and NO facts!

This is not an insult! It is my opinion and a couple of facts!

Do you read the news. I expect when someone comments that they are at least familiar with the facts on the subject. If the attack by Trump on "Dreamers" is unknown or new to you, a reasonable person would do some easy research, a simple google. How can you comment without being aware of the facts? And if you accuse me of no facts, where are your facts to state what I said was an "over dramatic (that should have been hyphenated) exaggerated statement"?

If you want to say what I said is just "exaggerated, overly dramatic, rambling opinions of a man with too much time on his hands," then prove it. You continue to never offer an opinion on any of my topics but just attack me. My little vixen groupie.
