What do you recommend to happen to children of criminals? I think you may be missing a distinction between between "children" in the story. Our Fist Lady was talking about "our children" and Mr. Sessions was talking about smuggled children.... in other words, children who are not US citizens being brought into the US by individuals who are trying to cross the border illegally or have crossed the boarder, making them criminals. In our nation, when a person, with children, are arrested, those kids are placed in foster care until the arrested custodians' legal matters are decided. Why should we treat illegal children any different? If you are empathetic to children then you would agree that those illegal children should not be placed in a holding tank or jail awaiting the disposition of their caretaker(s). At least they will have a safe place to await the disposition along with food and a bed to sleep.

I honestly do not understand your position. Could you make yourself clear?

What I see is Jeff Sessions recommending the same type of racial profiling behavior that ended in Sheriff Joe Arpaio's conviction because he blatently refused to cease and desist - - well, most certainly, it becomes the basis of new and inappropriate policy when such a person is pardoned at the top administrative level for his unconscionable and destructive actions...

Actually, no. Jeff Sessions was talking about boarder crossings and people being detained at the border, not routine traffic stops. Here is a quote from the Attorney General: "If you are smuggling a child, then we will prosecute you and that child will be separated from you as required by law, If you don’t like that, then don’t smuggle children over our border." Sheriff Joe, and keep in mind that he was pardoned, did sweeps of churches, homes, and businesses looking for i******s. And he profiled individuals, meaning if you looked a certain way, his officers would do a traffic stop and ask you for your documents. Much like the police did in NY during the 1930s searching out illegal Jews entering the US by way of Canada. And those actions are constitutional. They are distasteful and seem cruel or mean to some, but to others they ask the simple question.... should we become a nation without laws?

And you are trying to restructure your original complaint. What has Sheriff Joe to do with our First Lady's and Attorney General's inconsistency? If you wish to change the subject and discuss Sheriff Joe and his methods, which again is not boarder crossing, but i******s that have already become criminals, then I will be happy to join that discussion. But, one subject at a time....

Actually, no. Jeff Sessions was talking about boa... (show quote)

Actually, yes...

I am using comparative analogy, and all you're doing is mucking up this topic with long-winded, pedantic diatribe, throwing semantics into the works...

Attempt at diversion, much ???

Blah blah blah...
