Let’s start here. How about mandatory reading of 1984 by Orwell, Fountain Head and Atlas Shrugged by Aynn Rand? There you have it! Over 50 years ago!! I am new here but have been following PP for a couple of years and could not stand by and not put my humble 2 cents in. I have read these books more than once and can’t believe these authors could see this coming. Nastrodamas?

People have read these & many have commented.

I say that it is best to just set what was said aside.

Looking for any thing to correct what is wrong now from those writing would be a waste of time.

The Founding Fathers understood better than anyone, thus our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

They secured our freedoms, it forever falls upon us to maintain them.

Not a good topic for the Trumpsters:

People think that a liar gains a victory over his victim. What I’ve learned is that a lie is an act of self-abdication, because one surrenders one’s reality to the person to whom one lies, making that person one’s master, condemning oneself from then on to faking the sort of reality that person’s view requires to be f**ed…The man who lies to the world, is the world’s s***e from then on…There are no white lies, there is only the blackest of destruction, and a white lie is the blackest of all.
Ayn Rand

Tell Hillary, she's the one who's still wondering what happened.

I don't think Orwell knew it, but he was a prophet. 1984 was "the acceptable year of the Lord". Isaiah 61:2. On page six of his novel, he gives the date April 4, 1984. That is the exact date, down to the year, of Jarrett Lawrence Emanuel's birthday.

Have read these. Let me throw another one at you. Alvin Toffler, "Third Wave". Read this in High School, changed my whole concept. Just as the others, he sees the dynamics of America going into the technical age. Coming from an agriculture, "First Wave" to a manufacturing age, "Second Wave". A hard read. Take notes, page and paragraph. You will want to refer back.

Much of life has been put on paper.
While there may be threads worth keeping.
The words need to reflect the issues of the day.

Yesterday has passed, Today is to day. Tomorrow is tomorrow.
We need to treat each in the proper cortex today.

It is always today.
Today we remember the past & look to the future.

I recall going to Disneyland for the first time and being in awe over the monorail, thought that was the future and what we would see all around our cities...that didn't quite happen. I also thought we'd see more speed trains going coast to coast, that didn't happen either... we are s***es to the oil industries, by cars and planes. It's hard to fly into the future when held down with a ball and chain from the oil industrialists, same goes for energy. How they shape us around themselves.Good for them not for us.

Isaiah 7:10-16. "...Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign: Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Emanuel...For before the child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings". Jarrett is English for Joshua in Hebrew, or Jesus, and it means "Lord is salvation". His mother, Vicki, is Lebanese and his father is Jewish. He was raised Christian. They were separated and in the process of getting divorced while his mother was pregnant but she kept her marital last name and also named Jarrett's name Emanuel. Vicki lived and worked at the Jefferson hotel until he was born. Emanuel means "God with us".

Welcome
I always thought ALL these books should be read by seniors in high school. Now of course our government indoctrination centers, (commonly called public schools,) teach anti-American, pro Marxist propaganda to our children

Don't worry about President Trump's supporters, let's take a short look at just a few of the many whoppers Bill Clinton and Obama told

Obama and his pal Johnathan Gruber BRAGGED that they developed CALCULATED lies (over 30 times looking the American people directly in the face,) to get Obamacare passed, (passing Obamacare was more important than telling the t***h about being able to keep your insurance and doctor), which they BOTH had to publicly admitted. Or how about running guns to narco-terrorists in Mexico to subvert the Second Amendment, Fast and Furious, AG Holder held in contempt of Congress for the lies he and Obama, (claimed executive privilege) told on that one. Of course the list goes on and on.

And the media told us all that character didn't matter, and that lying was really good for us, because it saved our feelings all while Bill Clinton was lying. And he and Lynch talked about golf and grandchildren on that tarmac
