Well said, Michael.

One thing that truly worries me is the "mental health" aspects of this new proposed legislation. There is entirely too much latitude given to doctors to place a patient on a no buy list without the patient's knowledge. Think it can't happen? Look at what is already happening to veterans who "might" have PTSD. In the old Soviet Union, one way to make someone disappear was a trip to a mental hospital. The threat was enough to make many shut up. This new legislation has no provision for a finding of mental illness by a court of law that I know of. That is frightening. What is being touted as "reasonable" gun control, (now THERE'S an oxymoron!), is anything but. How can it happen? Ask someone at random what is happening on "American Idol" or "Dancing With the Stars" this week, or which of their favorite stars is in what detox center for wh**ever "addiction du jour" they suffer from this time, and wait for a detailed answer. Now, ask them how their Congress Critter v**ed this week. Deafening silence. Ask if they can even NAME their Congressman, or either of their Senators, or their State Senator or Representative. Can you hear the pin drop? The political prostitutes in DC are not doing this to us, or rather they cannot do this to us without our connivance. I take small comfort from the fact that if or when the balloon goes up, these clueless peckerhead liberal i***ts and apathetic dolts will be the first ones thrown under the bus.

Yep, it surely is. The worst part of this story is that they are writing this law without letting so many as more than a couple people see what they will be v****g on. Sadder yet, a Republican is helping them write the damnable thing and they will work it all out on the fool GOP people who are willing to go along to get along. Stupid bastards.
