Maybe it's just hope, but I don't think we actually disagree. I'm not arguing against Kanye's message. Yes, normal folks listen to other people and form opinions based on a range of inputs (as opposed to one celebrity). Further, we normally seek advice from qualified individuals. If I need advice about fixing a leaky roof, I don't ask a baker.
Let me give an example. Music has always been a large and important part of my life. IMO, two of the best musicians, composers, performers and all-around music influencers of my lifetime are/were John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Together they invented a whole genre of music which was massively successful and all good. I'm a huge fan.
Now, remember back when the Obamas, like a couple of starstruck teenagers, were constantly using the white house to throw gigantic star-studded galas (because as every l*****t knows, the second-best use of taxpayer money, after v**e buying, is entertaining the royalty)? Remember that time at one of those that Paul McCartney made his comment about it being nice to finally have a president who knows what a library is? When I heard about that my first thought was that McCartney should stick to music. He's good at that.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and make an educated guess that you, too, are a fan of McCartney's music and that you had a similar reaction to his assertion that Bush is stupid and Obama is smart.
Having said that, I can guarantee you that there are millions of stupid people in this country who heard about that and thought something along the lines of, "Paul McCartney is a great musician and I like him, so if he thinks President Bush is stupid and President Obama is smart then I should too." That's why the MSM pushed the "McCartney thinks Bush is stupid and Obama is smart" meme for weeks on end.
That's the same monumental stupidity and atomic shallowness demonstrated in this poll. Simply because Kanye says he loves Trump, millions of unthinking morons have decided they should too. In a few weeks they'll hear something else from another celebrity they adore and return to hating Trump again.
I don't care what Kanye's message is, it's the incredible stupidity, shallowness, laziness and devotion to celebrity of the followers that bothers me. Then, just to make matters worse, these same unthinking morons have the power to cancel the v**es of those who actually put some thought into v****g. That's d********g.
Maybe it's just hope, but I don't think we actuall... (
