Actually how a gun is to be t***sported in a car would prevent a little kid from getting a loaded gun in the back seat and shooting the mother through the seat, if it is illegal to have a loaded weapon in a car in the first place. If a trigger lock is on a gun a kid would not be able to shoot anyone. If it were in a locked case it would not be able to get in the hands of a little kid to then shoot someone.
Instead of giving an entirely inexcusable thing that is happening lip service, why don't you take a few minutes and look at how many times this has happened in the last few months. Laws against stupid are apparently needed, or stupid wouldn't be happening, would it? When a two, three, or four year old is shooting people or getting shot there is no excuse for it, and the defense of that would be funny if it weren't so lame.
