Trump's appointee Mulvaney brags about being a Swamp Thing, adding another lie to the duplicitous "Drain the Swamp" promise

Trump initially employed 40 Swamp Things, lobbyists which included Reince Priebus. His first act was to Fill and expand the Swamp. Don't you get? Yet? He cares nothing about his supporters. You won't look it up. You will chirp in chorus with Trump "f**e news" and be sold down the river. Wake up!

The brilliance of Donald Trump's "drain the swamp" ethos is that profiting politically off its deployment requires adherence to only one rule: Stay on message. You can do wh**ever you want: charter flights to Oklahoma, buy a solid gold dining set for your office, put fish tanks in your Suburban, wh**ever! As long as you remember to swear fealty to the promise of a leaner, t***hful, and more t***sparent federal government whenever you find yourself behind a hot mic, all else will be forgiven, likely over a very expensive meal to be enjoyed later.

Mulvaney, on tape and proven: "We had a hierarchy in my office in Congress,” [said] Mr. Mulvaney, a former Republican lawmaker from South Carolina... “If you’re a lobbyist who never gave us money, I didn’t talk to you. If you’re a lobbyist who gave us money, I might talk to you.” At the top of the hierarchy, he added, were his constituents. How kind.

He concluded by encouraging attendees to redouble their efforts to influence banking legislation, reminding them that members of Congress "will never know as much about your issues as you do," and "will not know that it is as important to you as it is until you tell them." Mulvaney even referred to these industry attempts to shape the policymaking process as one of the "fundamental underpinnings of our representative democracy," just like free speech and equal protection.

It is for some a great difficulty to grasp at how un-American, un-ethical, and outrageous these comments are. Basically, he said that the Swamp was not only alive and well under Trump but growing. They may go public and issue stock. Yes, it was back when Mulvaney was a Congreesman, but why did Trump pick such a Swamp Thing? No vetting? Or deep vetting?

Why can't they see and comprehend the depth and breadth of the Swamp Trump has created.

Because it's their Reflublican "swamp" now, lock, stock and barrel.
