To be Liberal has degenerated from the enlightened positions they used to hold (pre-1920) into having the ability to hold two mutually exclusive views at the same time and believe that both are true and worth fighting real battles over. They also have the ability to alter both views simultaneously, to fit any new shibboleth on a moments notice. This they tout as evidence of their greater intelligence, instead of recognizing that it is the product of an undisciplined mind at best or in the worse case, insanity.

Insanity is demonstrated by the women's march to protest Trump's reference to female parts by making effigies of those parts and wearing them in public. It is an insane mindset that called for woman empowerment but also Sharia law. The only dissent was not about the vulgarity of the hats but that t*********rs and "women of color" would not be represented by pink headgear.

Liz struck on one of my biggest pet peeves and that is the minimum wage. It's r****t and always has been. I have hired dozens (hundreds?) of people in my life. It is always with the thought, "What can this person do for the company?". We have always started people at above minimum wage, so that's not it. I hire seasonal help almost every year, and if a young black man came up to me with NO job sk**ls and an older person white or black came up to me with work experience, they would be at an advantage because they would be WORTH more. Labor is like any other commodity. It has to be subject to the market, not government fiat. The black youth unemployment rate isn't twice that of w****s because of r****m of employers, it's because government mandates you pay them more than they are worth. As a result, they just aren't hired. If I could get young black kids and pay them what they are worth and train them as I saw fit, every day they would be worth MORE. At which point I could afford to pay them more. They need entry level positions and the minimum wage negates the availability of those positions.

P.S. If you don't believe me about the minimum wage being r****t, read up a little on its history.
