Each would then be 1/3. But you would have increased by 50%.

Two divided by two equals one.
Three divided by two equals 1.5. 50% more.

Enough of that its bed time.

I would have to assume you are not a Marine, Floyd!

each service has a job to do, I was first in the U.S.Air Force as an aircraft mech. then in the U.S. Navy as an aircraft mech. I was stationed on seven different bases and two different ships the best food I ate was on the USS Midway it was home ported in Japan but was only allowed to stay in port a max. of two weeks except at Christmas we had an extra week, I should point out there is a difference between an aircraft mech. and an engine mech.

I am nothing more than a 'grease monkey'.

A bad one, at that!

We wouldn't want to "lose" him into the 'nether world'. It would be best if he stayed where he is.

I sure hope that you intended this as a joke for the readers here to enjoy, otherwise you did do a very mean thing. I often think about what motivates people. Let us look at this, you parked over the line and someone said something stupid. Your choice, correct your parking effort, ignore the remarks, or become highly offended and do something rash. You selected to become angry. He "turned around and tipped his (I am assuming) hat. Where I come from, tipping one's hat is friendly. Then you followed this person around "and made sure he knew." That is aggressive behavior. So, you intimidated another person and you feel good about it. I fail to see what you accomplished. Revenge? For what, you reparking your truck? You were over the yellow line.
People do the strangest things.
I sure hope that you intended this as a joke for t... (show quote)

I agree with you Ginnyt. It was a foolish and unwarranted action.

I am a proud Marine, but will defend my brothers and sisters in the other branches with all I can muster. Of course, we all enjoy intra-service humor and jousting. That
does not distract from the respect each branch deserves. Each serves our country proudly!

SEMPER FI!

My husband was an ex-Marine. Even in civilian life he walked and stood as if he still had the hanger in his jacket. Do you have the same problem?

No Alex, I wouldn't believe that. He wouldn't even wish that on Rayon, 669, Jack14, or any of their associates.

I've never had a problem with having served in the USMC, or remaining proud of my service...if that answers your question. Painful war-time memories aside, I have no regrets. Was was/is Hell.

There are no ex-Marines...only inactive ones. "The change is forever."

There is no ? , is there? Salty was/is right.

My suggestion was your working for Malaysian Airlines would prevent malfunctions leading to crashes.

Besides, Salty and I need you for our threesome get-together when I make it out there!
