This will stir the pot for sure, but I think it has merit. Couldn't post the article, sorry.

I am sure there are examples of women who give all to their work, but on a whole I agree. MOST women are also mothers, and that carries a whole slew of priorities, that for women must be adressed, before putting on the tie. I know men perform alot of child care duties today,
but damn, they just by nature don't worry as much. I for one wouldnt give up the time, I had with my children, and this investment has paid off as all three are excelling. Maybe once they are all through college, I can buy that new car I've never had. But probably not, by then I'll have Grand kids.

The title is just meant to provoke conversation, the statistics show only one segment of the workforce. I believe in equal pay for equal output/performance.

Yes, though my own work is rather rugged, its not dangerous. Could be a testosterone thing. I'm pretty strong for all 100lbs of me but the dicomfort level with most of these jobs, I would find very unattractive. Those with perilous jobs should be compensated and carry a lot of life insurance. If you know of any openings , I'll send my husband right over, unless there is age discrimination.

Is there some way we could proportionalize these numbers to make the demonrats and their pussy hat women happy. Since the dems believe in their god E******Y, every dem should be bemoaning this social injustice.

I've read about apprentice programs for women who want be in the construction industry, what a fking joke, could you imagine a female only construction company. After a week of bust your ass work, most would quit or be headed for work comp claims.

My late wife was the same as you and I am glad that she was. To all of you mothers out there we love you and we need you. You do a stand up job that we men would be hard pressed to do by ourselves.

And to all you men who build houses and bridges, and replace the whatchamacallit on my car when it starts sqealing, and haul away my trash, and those who harvest the trees from which I have built my business, I thank You!

ootws, never buy a new car, get a good low mileage used. I've worked my butt off physically all my life while my wife worked addressing food stamps and other welfare concerns. She also made about 3 times what I made which I was thankful for. I think she actually had a harder job than I because of the mental BS she had to put up with. Each evening she needed to unload, I didn't because I enjoyed what I was doing, she didn't. I believe in equal pay for equal work and results and I believe the job of being a good mother and wife is probably one of the hardest jobs there is. Mike

I prefer to buy them outright, no payments low insurance, and I dont sweat a bit of mud from the dogs. Funny my husband is director of mental healt services up here, you want to talk about mental BS. I get to set my own hours, spend time in the woods, take a nap.... Yes it is a blessing to enjoy your work. Some of us were just born to work physically, I was digging up rocks to build a patio and garden at age 12,
just because. I'm not too dumb, read voraciously, but was built to labor, love it. I sleep well too, another blessing.

Do you find a lot of fossils in your rocks? In the finger lakes region almost any flat rock had a fossil impression on it. Mike

At age 12 I live in Sussex County , New Jersey, and there I did find fossils, also quite few crystals. In the Adirondacks, no, though I found some on the shores of Champlain.
