the people trump will hurt the most are his base that cheers him for their own demise!
if we just stopped bombing for a few days the savings would pay for all the social programs.
trump just gave himself a billion dollar tax break... (show quote)

You just nailed it, Lonewolf. The US has spent spent $6 TRILLION fighting the so-called war on terror with NO end in sight. But the elderly and poor are always blamed for the TRILLION dollar deficits. Now comes Trumpy's and the right arm of the corporate party (repubs) who give the wealthy and corporations (that are already awash in cash) even more tax breaks claiming trickle-down will work its magic. While the massive government decline in revenue and the ensuing deficits will have to be cut on the backs of the elderly and poor.

You must be referring to the newly created middle class that obammy caused as he allowed the 1% wealthy to continue garner 90% of the income gains. They v**ed for Trump thinking he would end that. Boy did they get a surprise.

Your response brings to mind the 21 year old woman from Waco Texas.
This, from a 21-year-old female, was in the Waco Tribune Herald in Waco, Texas on November 18, 2010

"Put me in charge . . . "

Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza…

…then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tats and piercings, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks?
You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, wh**ever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good."

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self-esteem," consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self-esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND, while you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can V**E! Yes that is correct. For you to v**e would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from v****g while you are receiving a government welfare check. If you want to v**e, then get a job.

She is swallowing camels and gagging on gnats.

Put her in charge of eliminating all the waste, fraud and corporate welfare that goes with US continual, illegal, unConstitutional, immoral warmongering where the real problem is. At least the paltry amount the US spends on social programs actually helps people, especially CHILDREN!

I believe that during Obama's time in office he managed to more than double the debt but you people don't ever mention that. Maybe if these people actually worked for a change they might find that it gives them some self esteem that you can't get on the dole.

I have mentioned it many times. But conservatards like you fail to paint the whole picture and blame the elderly and poor for the exploding US national debt.

The people "on the dole" did not contribute nearly as much to obammy's doubling of the debt as the corporations that were and still are "one the dole".

Since corporate welfare, subsidies, bailouts...etc... dwarfs social welfare in costs--In 2014 (under obammy's administration) $59 BILLION WAS SPENT ON TRADITIONAL SOCIAL WELFARE PROGRAMS. $92 BILLION WAS SPENT ON CORPORATE SUBSIDIES. SO, THE GOVERNMENT SPENT 50% MORE ON CORPORATE WELFARE THAN IT DID ON FOOD STAMPS AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE THAT ACTUALLY HELP THE ELDERLY AND POOR.

Your priorities seem twisted...

And I bet you expect that a single mother working for less than $10/hour can live and feed her 2 kids on that wage. While TRILLIONS of taxpayer money has been wasted and frauded on continual, illegal, unConstitutional, immoral warmongering.

It helps undeserving people abuse a system intended for the poor, women too lazy or uneducated with children out of wedlock who can't keep their pants on deserve nothing except rice, beans, and flour. It matters not what percentage of what goes to welfare. Trump has it right, if you're gonna use the system, play by the rules or go hungry, you make your own choices, don't expect those of us who sacrifice to carry your fking cross.

Why is she single? Why does she have 2 kids? Too bad, accountability starts with yourself. I'm fed up, I'm tired of seeing 350 lb land whales at Walmart filling their carts with pop, potato chips, and cookies.

So, you want to make the "rules" difficult and basically impossible to follow. You gag at a few million frauded from the social welfare system (mainly the fault of lazy and incompetent bureaucrats) and "undeserving" (who determines that--hope it's not you) people abusing the system by playing by the existing "rules, yet you say zilch about the BILLIONS in undeserving corporate welfare to continue to pay multi-MILLION executive salaries and stock buy backs making the 1% richer or the TRILLIONS of taxpayer dollars that have been wasted and frauded since 911 and on the phony war on terror.

Tells me a lot about your type...Hmmm...

I've always paid my own way, good times or bad, I wouldn't suck the welfare tit if I was starving, I'm not talking about corporate welfare. I'm talking about citizen leaches. In any regard, I can't do anymore than you, except piss and moan.
