Those of us who try to convince liberals of the folly of gun control often point to the fact that, in an imperfect world, it would be impossible to confiscate every weapon from every individual. Consequently, any gun control efforts end up punishing the law-abiding while leaving the criminals armed and better able to prey upon the innocent.

We also point to the inevitable slippery-slope, full well knowing that’s what may of these would-be tyrants are counting on. Sure, they’re going after the so-called “assault rifles” now, because the Parkland shooter used one and they’re really scary looking, but does anyone really believe that, should they succeed in banning those, they wouldn’t go after the next thing the next psychopath uses to commit mass mayhem?

And the next, and the next…

Which begs the question, will the gun grabbers EVER stop? Is there a point at which they’ll finally say - enough is enough? We’ve got your ARs and your semi-automatic rifles, but we’ll let you keep your pistols, your single shot shotguns and maybe your muzzleloading rifles since that’s probably what the Founders intended with that whole Second Amendment nonsense.

Oh, but now the pistols have to go, because didn’t Seung-Hui Cho use a couple of those ‘weapons of mass murder’ to k**l 32 people and wound another 17 at Virginia Tech in what was in 2007 the deadliest shooting in U.S. history?

Oh, but now the muzzleloaders have to go, because didn’t a bunch of “don’t-tread-on-me” types stage a revolt against a lawful government using those things?

In other words, once they’ve tasted success with the lowest h*****g fruit, how long before pistols fall in their crosshairs? Or shotguns? Or muzzleloaders? Or knives? Or baseball bats?

Skeptical? Keep reading...

Sure, they SAY they’ll stop, you know, after a few “common sense” gun laws, but will they really?

The answer is an easy one if you understand liberalism for the sick disease that it is - NO. They’ll never stop. Just as sure as the sky is blue, once they’ve tasted blood, liberal gun grabbers will never stop lusting for more control over our lives and especially our right to defend ourselves against evildoers.

How can I be so sure? Because we’ve got a time-machine right across the pond, and liberals never stopped there either.

Consider London, England, circa 2018, where the powers-that-be are bumfuzzled by the fact that, for the first time in modern recorded history, the city has experienced more murders than its American counterpart, New York City.

According to The New York Times, London’s 15 k*****gs in February 2018 were above New York City’s 14 murders for the month. And the trend continued into March, with London edging New York City by a margin of 22 to 21.

Although the British capital’s gun laws are among the strictest in the world, a significant spike in knife crimes is the driving force behind this particular crime wave. Last year alone, 80 people were k**led by stabbing, and this year’s pace of 31 so far is set to overtake that by a wide margin. To put things in perspective, only 16 people have been k**led in London by something OTHER than a knife so far in 2018.

It’s an “epidemic,” says Labour MP Sarah Jones, and Metropolitan police commissioner Cressida Dick has the answer, telling BBC radio: “We have taken thousands and thousands of knives off the streets. We are doing stop and search in an intelligent way, and we are stopping and searching those people we know are prolific knife carriers.”

So, how do the plucky Brits plan to stop this epidemic? Why, more tyranny of course, because, well, liberals...

“No excuses: there is never a reason to carry a knife,” London Mayor Sadiq Khan tweeted on Sunday morning. “Anyone who does will be caught, and they will feel the full force of the law.”

If you liked gun control, you’re gonna LOVE “knife control,” and Britain has it in spades. Current U.K. law prohibits knife sales to anyone under 18, and nobody can carry a non-folding knife over three inches long “without good reason.”

According to the U.K. government website, a “good reason” to carry a knife includes “taking knives you use at work to and from work; taking it to a gallery or museum to be exhibited; if it’ll be used for theatre, film, television, historical reenactment or religious purposes, for example the kirpan some Sikhs carry; if it’ll be used in a demonstration or to teach someone how to use it.”

Notice how self-defense isn’t among those reasons.

But never fear: “A court will decide if you’ve got a good reason to carry a knife or a weapon if you’re charged with carrying it illegally.”

And more knife laws are on the way, including increased powers for police to “stop and search” citizens.

To be sure, knife attacks can be deadly and destructive, like when 33 were k**led and another 130 injured by Xinjiang separatists attacking a train station in southern China in 2014. But are more laws truly the answer? When and how does “knife-control” end? Metal detectors? Dangerous knives can be made of other materials. Manufacturers? Anyone with a grinder can make a “knife.”

Speaking of slippery slopes, how long before Londoners are randomly strip-searched on their way to work?

It’s what those of us who value freedom tell the gun grabbers (even though they refuse to listen) - people bent on destruction will always find a way available to them. Likewise, people bent on tyranny will always find a way to implement it, even if it doesn’t work.

Because far from actually saving lives, control is really what they are after.

And they’re more than willing to ride that slippery slope all the way to its inevitable conclusion, when every last modicum of real freedom is gone from the Western world.

Guns and knives are a distraction, what they really are after is the elimination of the basic human right of self defense.
In both the U.K. and Australia, self defense is an "unauthorized use" of a licensed firearm.

The 11.96 figure for the US includes murders, suicides and accidents. The homicide rate in the US is actually 4.3 per 100,000.

Central American countries governed by socialism are the most violent nations on earth. Honduras, Guatemala and Venezuela head the list, with Honduras at the top. Homicide rates in those countries range from 50 k*****gs per 100,000 to 90 per 100,000, in one province in Honduras the rate is 137 per 100,000.

The gun bans in both the UK and Australia were big mistakes. Criminals, drug gangs, and terrorists don't give a damn about the laws. In London, knife and acid attacks are filling the void left by the gun bans, even so, attacks with guns continue. Due to the rise in violent crimes in London, the mayor, a Muslim, is considering a ban on knives and the sale of acids.

MPs and campaigners have said authorities are failing to get a grip on violent crime in London after two teenagers were fatally shot on the same night in the capital.

A 17-year-old girl died first after a drive-by shooting in Tottenham, north London. Police said on Tuesday evening that a 16-year-old boy shot on Monday had died in hospital after succumbing to his injuries.

With violent crime levels feared to be heading back to their worst level in more than a decade the two became the capital’s 47th and 48th suspected murder victims this year.

Labour MP David Lammy said the situation was “worse than I’ve ever seen it”. He blamed the rapid growth of the illicit drug economy and cuts to public services for the rising violence.

Police officers should be "confident" to stop and search someone they suspect of carrying an offensive weapon, London's mayor has told the BBC.

Sadiq Khan backed the use of "targeted" stop-and-search in the capital, after six people were k**led in shootings and stabbings in the past seven days.

An extra 300 officers are being deployed in areas of London.

4.5 per 100,000 but if you subtract the top 10 murderous cities America would second from the bottom of a list of all nations in murder rates making the saying more guns less crime a fact. A city in Georgia has a law on the books since 85 saying you must have a gun in your house. In the last 8 years the city has had one murder. So why don't you really show your support for a gun ban and put a sign up in your front yard saying you h**e guns and own none. All ten of those cities with murder rates between 35 and 56 per 100,000 have long histories of being ran by democrats that have disarmed the honest allowing the criminals to pray on them without worry to their safety. For them to keep electing democrats just shows the stupidity of the party of the poor the dems are hell bent on keeping them that way ain't that right Bob? Right.
