I don't mean to purposely follow your posts around Bo, seems that way maybe, but I'm not. I'm just a very Proud Citizen and Patriot to our American fighting men.
I acquired a medal from my Great Grandfather: Matthew Alexander Parduex. It is from his service in the French Army, under the Kings Crown.
It has a top part of a diamond as the center of the Northern Star. From a link on it's base, hangs a white Celtic Cross set in Brass. In the center of the Celtic Cross is a raised red heart. In the center of that heart is the raised gold-tone(?)French Kings Crown. On the back it bares the initials of my Great Grandfather MAP, along with a beautiful inscription of Bravery, Courage, Loyalty, Honesty.
I'm just so in-love with my country, and am Proud to live in the same generations of our Military Soldiers from WWI, WWII (Dog Day Afternoon), Korea, Viet Nam, Dessert Storm, Afganistan, Iraq, and which ever one you fall into Bo. Our Great and Mighty Prophecied Fighting Force "The Unicorn".
bo, I have a question for you- or any retired or injured vet. In my area, Shasta Co. CA. A new Vets building was built. It began about 8-10 yrs ago, but due to Government Budget cuts the building of it was stopped for quite some time. Now it is operational. Vets from this area jumped right on the waiting list to be admitted years ago even before it's ground breaking. However, when it did open, vets from all over the country were brought in and our area vets were left on the waiting list.
It is very difficult for me to make any kind of judgment call between one vet or the other, but was that right? Was it fair?
