UPDATE:

It seems that the CBS video which is the basis for the story on David Hogg was simply a case of poor editing from CBS. Red State has retracted the original story, as explained below.

From Red State:

UPDATE #2: This Vox article indicates that Hogg went back to the campus area at 6 pm and did not actually enter campus, but had his camera and interviewed people across the street from campus. Here’s his quote:

At 6 pm after the shooting, I took my camera, got on my bike. I rode in basically twilight. And I ride my bike three miles down winding sidewalks and find my way to the school, as I’ve done in previous years. All the while, I was making sure my camera bag didn’t rip open, because if you zip it a certain way, the camera falls out, and it would be destroyed.

After reviewing all of this, it appears that the problem was that CBS included a very confusing quote without context. Hogg was on campus during the shooting and returned several hours later to interview people across the street. The original story remains below, in strikethrough. I am sorry for the error and have updated the post accordingly.

Here’s our original Post:

The mainstream media repeats contradictory claims when they support a gun control narrative they want us to believe.

Many conservatives believe the mainstream media repeats lies, but they expect they will be careful enough to make it difficult to prove the deception. When it comes to David Hoggs pathetic role in the left’s children’s crusade against the Second Amendment, however, the contradictions have become so obvious, they demonstrate the desperation of self-styled “journalists.”

The official story has been that David Hogg is a mass shooting survivor and anyone who criticizes him is guilty of attacking or mocking a shooting survivor.

Time magazine repeated what has been the standard narrative in there story, “A Student Started Filming During the Florida School Shooting. He Hasn’t Stopped.”

David Hogg, a senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, knows what gunshots sound like: His father worked in law enforcement, and taught him about weapons and how to handle them. So when Hogg heard a “pop” while sitting in an AP environmental science class around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, he told his teacher it sounded strangely like a gunshot. But there had been a fire drill that very morning and talk of a “Code Red” exercise to prepare for an active shooter. This must just be a surprise drill, he reasoned.

And then the fire alarm sounded. Dutifully acting on it, Hogg and other students tried to exit the building. A janitor—Hogg doesn’t know his name but calls him an angel—knew where the shots were coming from and sent the students back. Then a culinary arts teacher, Ashley Kurth, pulled Hogg and others inside, locked the door, and made them hide in a closet. Checking Twitter and Instagram, Hogg—who’s an editor at the school’s TV station—found the news that the shooting was real and ongoing.

It’s a compelling story. According to David Hogg’s most recent statement on video, the central assertion is fiction. David Hogg was not in school that day.

The Silence Is Consent blog reports, “CBS News Bombshell: Marjory Douglas Student Leader Wasn’t at School on Day of the Mass Shooting (VIDEO).”

A new documentary by CBS News reveals that Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg […] was not at the school at the time of the shooting.

The bombshell comes from David Hogg himself, who made the admission to a CBS News interviewer as part of the documentary “39 Days.” […].

“39 Days” has not yet aired, but an excerpt posted online by CBS News (and included below) includes interviews with the students leading the gun control movement, including Hogg, Delaney Tarr, Cameron Kasky, and Emma Gonzalez. Hogg, who describes himself as a “student journalist,” admits he was at home at the time of the shooting, but rode his bike to school to “get as many interviews as I could.”

Here are the contradictory stories from his own mouth.

The mainstream media doesn’t fact check anything it wants to believe!

Quite the story, doesn't have much bearing on anything else though it's a nice try.

we should know who is handling him and promoting this effort. It seems obvious that the local demoRAT party allowed this situation to develop.

They were pushing for an incident, but it got out of control and a lot of kids were k**led and wounded.Broward is represented by that Schultz
and everyone is demoRAT.
