A Constitutional State

Would you like to live in a state where the lessons taught in public school focused on the US Constitution and our Bill of Rights?

How about living in a state that offered classes, in all schools, highlighting proper firearm handling and safety?

If this utopia sounds impossible, think again.

SiCi, I was lucky enough to go to school when we had both plus Civics. We, including the girls who wanted to, were taught gun safety using .22s, live fire. We were taught the Constitution and Bill of rights along with the rest of the HISTORY of not only ours but the effects of other countries on ours. We were also taught Civics and we said the Pledge and a short Prayer each morning. No body complained. We had an American f**g in each classroom which we faced while making the Pledge. We also had blast curtains and practiced going into the hall and making ourselves as small as possible while getting as close to the cinder block wall as we could.

In the 60's many of us took our shotguns and ammo to school in the fall so we could Dove and Rabbit hunt after school. Those of us who didn't drive kept the guns and ammo in our lockers. I'd never heard about a school shooting. In those days if you had a beef you used your hands. No gun, no knife, no ball bat, fists. No one ever thought about k*****g some one. Just beat the S out of each other.

It was a good time to be alive. Almost everyone, not all, but majority, had two parents at home and had a mom at home though that was starting to fade as taxes and prices were rising thanks to govt. intrusion into our lives. So yes, I'd love for my Grandkids to grow up like I was able to. No fears of wandering around, being shot in a drive by, Mom and Dad passed out on the couch with needles in their arms or Mom trying to raise kids on her own, busting her ass and still wondering whether they'd eat that night.

I h**e politicians. Mike

Agreed me too but we weren’t allowed the guns in schools.
