How many guys on death row have women proposing marriage ? Ladies there are plenty of lonely normal guys out there. There is something about the bad boy or maybe the charming crazy guy. I don't recall many of the flip side stories. How many guys go for female crazies ? I mean that you knew beforehand they were crazy. I don't mean your ex wife who you found out later was bat crap crazy.

I've never understood that either. It's hard enough to find someone who is a good match and won't drive you crazy in a few years (male or female), without starting off KNOWING the person has serious social problems!

Hey, I am female and I have never been able to understand this behavior. I have known plenty of women who fall for the "bad boys," but deliberately hunting down criminals in prison as boyfriends is something else entirely. I don't think men do this with women in prison, do they? I've never read about that. I know men are not smarter people than women, so there must be other causes for such insanity.

Maybe that would fall under the heading of why do American women go to the Middle East and mary Muslim males where they are considered to be nothing more than property?

As somebody who has thought deeply about this I have come to the conclusion that all of us are prisoners of our biology. We are animals. No matter how much we brag about our brains, deep inside of us we instinctively go for those our urges tell us are the best matches to get our genetic material into the next generation.

For guys it seems to be well built stupid women who are the best chance of leaving many descendants. For at least some women, crazy must hold some perceived evolutionary advantage. I don't know what that advantage could possibly be, but it seems to outrank sane, stable, and boring. I've seen too many women throw away guys that their parents would have been proud to have sire their grand kids in favor of lazy, crazy, and philandering studs. Anyway that is as good a theory as I've heard.
