US 2003 Invasion of Iraq Led to Nothing But Chaos and Instability – Observers
https://sputniknews.com/analysis/

The US invasion of Iraq in 2003 undermined the region and plunged it into instability, Turkish political observers told Sputnik, commenting on the 15th anniversary of the US-led Operation Iraqi Freedom. The observers drew parallels between Washington's Iraqi campaign and its attempts to attack Syria under the pretext of the use of chemical arms.

Exactly 15 years ago the US-led coalition launched Operation Iraqi Freedom, seeking to disarm Baghdad of supposed weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and thwart Saddam Hussein's alleged support for al-Qaeda, which resulted in the destabilization of the region and an upsurge in terrorism, Turkish analysts recall in an interview with Sputnik Turkey.

"As you know, there was no corresponding resolution of the UN Security Council," said Ozturk Yilmaz, the Turkish opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy chair responsible for foreign relations. "The US claimed that there were chemical weapons in Iraq, but it was nowhere to be found, as well as al-Qaeda terrorists which appeared in the country only after Saddam's ouster."

Yilmaz underscored that the US illegal invasion of Iraq dealt a heavy blow to the state's territorial integrity.

"Today Iraq cannot be called an integral state with a unified and stable-working system of government," the politician pointed out. "Although the territorial integrity is formally maintained in the country, it is being torn by serious conflicts. After the US invasion of Iraq, the country became divided along ethnic and religious lines, a civil war began in the state claiming the lives of nearly one million people and millions more were forced out of the country."

The Iraq War 15 Years On: No Body Count, No Accountability, No End in Sight
He stressed that the US invasion of Iraq plunged the region into instability and chaos, exacerbating the Sunni-Shiite and ethnic divisions.
The deputy head of the Nationalist Movement Party's (MHP) parliamentary faction, Erkan Akcay, shares a similar stance.

"If one takes a look at the 15 years since [the US invasion], one would see that the order in Iraq has never been ensured while chaos and instability only increased. Millions of people in Iraq have fallen victim [to the US operation] and suffered damage. The country has wallowed in ethnic and religious confrontation. The Americans stated that their main objective was to bring democracy to Iraq, but where is it? There is nothing but chaos and ruins. And so it happens in every country they have intervened in."

According to the Turkish politician, the American strategy means creating a problem where it does not exist in order to interfere in the other states affairs under the pretext of its solution and further aggravate the situation.

Akcay drew parallels between the US' Iraqi operation and the current situation in Syria, slamming Washington for providing weapons to the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) regarded as an affiliate of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), outlawed in Turkey.

For his part, Esin Onulduran, a Turkish academic specializing on Middle Eastern affairs, highlighted that the US invasion of Iraq facilitated the emergence of Daesh (ISIS/ISIL)*, formerly known as al-Qaeda in Iraq*.

"Currently, Iraq is undergoing a period when its territorial integrity is being put under threat," Onulduran told Sputnik. "Over the past 15 years hundreds of thousands of people have been k**led. Today an atmosphere of chaos is dominant in Iraq."

He highlighted that the US' pretext for the invasion turned out to be f**e: "The head of the US State Department demonstrated photographs of vehicles and infrastructural objects at the UN Security Council, claiming that chemical weapons were produced and stored there. That was not confirmed. Moreover, it later turned out that one of the facilities shown by the Americans was actually a factory which produced baby food."

Hasan Bitmez, the deputy head of the opposition Turkish Saadet Party (Felicity Party), said that the US military operation in Iraq dealt a heavy blow to the very idea of humanity.

"The forces that pledged to bring democracy and human rights to Iraq, in fact, deprived the Iraqi people of all rights," Bitmez emphasized. "The US invasion laid the bomb of destabilization under the region's foundations, and predetermined the emergence of today's problems. The forces which are complaining about the terrorist threat and insecurity are, in fact, the architects of the situation and should bear responsibility for it."

US Remains 'Official Sponsor of Terrorism in Iraq and Elsewhere' – Politician

************ The politician drew attention to the fact that the US is trying to use the same chemical weapons pretext in Syria in order to attack and occupy the territory of the sovereign state. *****************
According to Bitmez, Iraq and Syria remains the focus of attention of Western forces interested in the implementation of the "Greater Middle East" project.

"Using [WMD] pretexts America gets the opportunity to attack and occupy territories of other states," the politician noted, adding that judging by the Iraqi case, sooner or later these scenarios turn out to be a h**x.

Bitmez highlighted that one must realize that any state that is pursuing an independent foreign policy could become a potential US target, including Turkey.

The US invasion of Iraq started on March 20, 2003 and was preceded by the 9/11 tragedy in the US. The military mission consisted of 21 days of combat operations, carried out by the US-led coalition. As a result, the Baathist government of Saddam Hussein was o*******wn. On May 1, 2003 then President George W. Bush announced the end of the Operation Iraqi Freedom, which was followed by an eight year-long military occupation, during which the coalition and allied Iraqi forces faced resistance from Iraqi militant insurgency....

Eagle Eye,

Are you just beginning to come to that conclusion? I criticized Bush on this many times. You would not believe the hell I got from Conservatives, Republicans, etc. George Bush, 43, is nothing but a stupid Moron. He is an embarrassment to the American People. He talks, acts and has the mentality of an I***t from Appalachia. I lost family in that stupid war. I would say more, but you get the picture. I served seventeen years in the United States Marine Corp and I served under his father in Desert Storm. I have some idea of what I am talking about as an American. I am also a Conservative who strongly believes in T***H and doing what is right.

"Are you just beginning to come to that conclusion?"- samtheyank
Nope. I figured out what was wrong in the 70's

Who is behind the establishment of a world government, what they call; their New World Order.

I post this because it covers the CFR in total. I hope others will copy and save for future reference.
Every one that cares, and wants to know what America is up against; should copy, save, and share with others:
URL for Roster of CFR/Trilateral Commission Members is below

Hillary Clinton spills the beans at the inauguration of the new office for Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in Washington, D.C. Some have said it was simply a slip of the tongue but wh**ever the perception is Clinton frankly revealed who's running the show in these United States:

Dick Cheney; Director at CIA:

Z*****t control of CFR: http://www.rense.com/general48/captiv.htm

Some Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) Facts
The 3,000 seats of the CFR quickly filled with members of America's elite. Today, CFR members occupy key positions in government, the mass media, financial institutions, multinational corporations, the military, and the national security apparatus.
Since its inception, the CFR has served as an intermediary between high finance, big oil, corporate elitists and the U.S. government. The executive branch changes hands between Republican and Democratic administrations, but cabinet seats are always held by CFR members. It has been said by political commentators on the left and on the right that if you want to know what U.S. foreign policy will be next year, you should read Foreign Affairs this year.
The CFR's claim that "The Council has no affiliation with the U.S. government" is laughable. The justification for that statement is that funding comes from member dues, subscriptions to its Corporate Program, foundation grants, and so forth. All this really means is that the U.S. government does not exert any control over the CFR via the purse strings.
Since 1940, every U.S. secretary of state (except for Gov. James Byrnes of South Carolina, the sole exception) has been a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and/or its younger brother, the Trilateral Commission. Also since 1940, every secretary of war and every secretary of defense has been a CFR member. During most of its existence, the Central Intelligence Agency has been headed by CFR members, beginning with CFR founding member Allen Dulles. Virtually every key U.S. national security and foreign policy adviser has been a CFR member for the past seventy years.
Almost all White House cabinet positions are occupied by CFR members. President Clinton, himself a member of the CFR, the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderberg Group, employs almost one hundred CFR members in his administration. Presidents come and go, but the CFR's power--and agenda--always remains.
The CFR's Shroud of Secrecy - On its web page, the CFR boasts that its magazine, Foreign Affairs, "is acclaimed for its analysis of recent international developments and for its forecasts of emerging trends." It's not much of a challenge to do so, though, when you play a part in determining what those emerging trends will be.
So are they predicting trends or creating them? The answer is fairly obvious to anyone who has earnestly reflected on the matter.
The CFR fancies itself to represent a diverse range cultural and political interests, but its members are predominantly wealthy males, and their policies reflect their elitist biases. The CFR attempts to maintain the charade of diversity via its Non-Attribution Rule, which allows members to engage in "a free, frank, and open exchange of ideas" without fear of having any of their statements attributed in public. The flip side of this, obviously, is a dark cloud of secrecy which envelopes the CFR's activities.
CFR meetings are usually held in secret and are restricted to members and very select guests. All members are free to express themselves at meetings unrestrained, because the Non-Attribution Rule guarantees that "others will not attribute or characterize their statements in public media forums or knowingly t***smit them to persons who will," according to the Council on Foreign Relations' 1992 Annual Report.
The report goes on to forbid any meeting participant "to publish a speaker's statement in attributed form in any newspaper; to repeat it on television or radio, or on a speaker's platform, or in a classroom; or to go beyond a memo of limited circulation."
The end result is that the only information the public has on the CFR is the information they release for public consumption, which should send up red f**gs for anyone who understands the immense effect that CFR directives have on America's foreign policy. The public knows what the CFR wants the public to know about the CFR, and nothing more. There is one hole in the fog of secrecy, however: a book entitled Tragedy and Hope, written by an "insider" named Dr. Carroll Quigley, mentor of Bill Clinton.
