In the latest shooting the school resource officer shot and k**led the shooter. This proves that shooters aren't afraid to go up against armed resistance and that teachers don't need to be armed.

It proves that the greatest way to stop a shooter is with a shooter and not a Gun Free Zone sign.

You are right and as dedicated as the SRO may be he/she can only be in one place at a time. If the shooting begins away from where the SRO is many can be k**led before the SRO can get there. Having more armed will reduce the damage the shooter can do.

It "proves" absolutely no such thing, except that you're a dummy to make that statement. The shooter may have thought that the SRO was a coward like the Florida Deputies, or he may have thought that he could k**l everyone he wanted, before the SRO could stop him, or he might not have had any thoughts about there being a SRO at the school. We'll never know what thoughts, if any, were in his warped mind. As far as armed teachers, ... possibly an armed teacher or school staff member could have taken the shooter out before he even fired the first shot.

I've seen it reported that he blew himself up, can we get some up to date accurate confirmation on how he died.
