There are differences.

There's a difference between faith and religion. Faith tells me how to live MY life - religion encourages me to tell YOU how to live YOURS.

Principles are a set of t***hs that we measure OUR actions against - not a set of rules to judge others actions by.

Values are a hierarchy of priorities, based upon our principles - not a yardstick used to measure others.

Beliefs are a list of t***hs we have determined for ourselves - not a list of laws and rules we may require others to adopt.

Americans spend more time worrying about what everyone else is doing, and trying to force others to adhere to our own personal beliefs, values, principles and faith..............that we don't have time to adhere to them ourselves.

Judging others is NOT an exercise of one's faith, it is an application of the inherent arrogance of religion ( my God is superior to your God ).

There's a difference between ignorance and stupidity. Ignorance is not knowing better, stupidity is knowing better - but doing it anyway.

Also remember: A principle is guide for thought. A rule is a substitute for thought.

Agree. May I add, there is a cure for ignorance but no cure for stupidity.
