Since Congress makes contracts for all government purchases, like buying new war planes or ship, members of Congress know a long time before of this deal and can but stocks in every start-up company and will always come out smelling like a rose. Why do you think they are will to spend a million $ on a job that pays $150,000?

Because most of them know that after a few years in Congress, they will make millions. They also know that being "elected" to Congress is no longer a temporary job (as it was meant to be), but a "career" with a "retirement bonus" of millions. What other job can you get where you can make millions by giving away millions of other peoples' money??
