I am sure that Obama doesn't intend to have the Constitution still in effect when 2016 arrives. He knows how to destroy things like it and will have made the effort in time to be able to run again. He has to know why he won the last e******n and should be able to see that he just can't swing another term unless he figures out how to keep the half of people who v**ed against him from v****g. I am sure they don't really know how many conservative thinkers just stayed at home thinking he would win anyway.

Th more appalling part of the ACA is the delightful form the IRS is going to issue. You will have to complete said form providing information relative to what health care policy you have at that time. It is to be submitted with your Income Taxes. REALLY, what (to use your words) "rational, logical cognitive thinking person" would want the IRS to have such information. Are you able to understand the phrase "hack individual medical records"? Perhaps I could send a message directing them to insert it into the posterior opening to their alimentary canal!!!

This is a blatant disregard for our fundamental rights concerning the Constitution. Now after researching the law that FDR enacted during his pathetic 10 years in office. The one that enabled this entire "Affordable Care Act" to be initiated. The exact details elude me as I write this.. For that I apologize. It had something to do with a commerce clause, and mandating some obscure laws governing things across state lines. (Hey! I am just a simple carpenter, I deal with Level and Plumb) It was all a tad convoluted for me. The bottom line was all the Minions crying for something Free. Unfortunately there was nothing Free about it. The majority failed to read the fine print, in the initial contract. Still , in my humble opinion, (to quote my Grandmother) "Joey just because everyone is jumping off that bridge.. doesn't mean you have too"
I will have to find the pertinent information to this debacle and post later. Till then.. "Chin up" my good friend.. That would be Templeton from Charlotte's Web.

The commerce clause within the Constitution is Article 1, Section 8. Doing a Google using "commerce clause" brings forth a plethora of sites. I did not refine it down to FDR.

Here Aunti goes with more societal commentary. Is it not interesting that most every family as a "jumping" saying? Your family it was a bridge. My family's was the church Bell tower. Another phrase often used was "The Empire State Building".

Blessed Sunday to you. (Hopefully the phrase brings no offense :-)

Article I, Section 8, Clause 3 is one of the most abused parts of the Constitution and has been for at least 200 years. The Supreme Court said many years ago (over 200) that the Congress can do anything it needs to do to regulate commerce among the states and foreign nations. This bit of the document has been used to expand the powers of Congress more than any other part. It is about time that the States stop allowing them to do things that they don't need to do and they must use Amendment to stop Congress from many things. An example of this is that they want to use this part of the Constitution to stop the trade in firearms over the 2nd Amendment.

Now, what happens when a Republican controlled Congress wants to do something like the ACA. Actually they used the 3rd Clause of Article I, Section 8 as a crutch to pass ACA and it is not really very constitutional because of all that.

:-)

You may be able to help Slingblade and myself out. He referenced something which occurred under FDR which perhaps was based on the Commerce clause. Go back to Slingblade's comment immediate preceding mine. With your teaching background, it may provide answers.

How is the appliance?

The appliance is working well and today I had to call the Sears store to speak for a dehumidifier. I told the lady who answered the phone that "Its me again, Margaret". We had a good laugh about that since she knows the Ray Stevens song and her name is Margaret.

Try this little thing to see what the Firearms people say about FDR and the commerce clause. As far as I know it is very true and I didn't want to take a lot of time. It might be good to go to the last paragraph of the article before you read the whole thing. Yep, FDR did try many things to get his New Deal program established.

America is making big mistakes mocking GOD Turning away from Christian morality to embrace evil desires has brought down many once great nations. God knew this sort of thing would happen when evil gains control. Evil has sought power since Cain murdered Able for gain. Cain thought he would get Able's property.

The love of money is the root of all EVIL! Evil uses sophistic argumentation to fool the gullible into giving up their freedom. Evil is LIES! T***H is much like sulphuric acid to evil individuals that burns immediately through both flesh and bone with great pain.
