That is the most accurate map of TX I've seen in a while. Austin has been loony toons for decades.

Texas will turn purple if not blue during the midterms. Watch.

Good! Then you know the little snapshot you presented means nothing whether it's true or not!

Use the "quote reply" tab at the bottom so we know to whom you are speaking. Otherwise it shows up in no particular order at the end of the thread.

Hey Y'all, Unfortunately Dallas has become a huge Hub for the G*******t's
but fortunately for many of us the Disease has Not spread to the rural areas.

Mayor Carraway is just another G*******t shill.

That "top Dallas official" is the mayor , and he is a loony i***t. Google his crap. He is Dwaine Caraway. He was the one who headed up the Dallas version of getting civil war related statues taken down
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Wh**ever you may think of him, Dallas' mayor is Mike Rawlings.....not Dwaine Caraway or Carraway, for that matter.

No...a reasonable person says "Let's do what we can do NOW" and worries about politics later.

That's what they are trying to do now, with a lot of resistance to change anything.

What we can do now is harden schools. The rest will take more time. You must realize this.

Liberal democrats only TAKE... they are most of the welfare community.. when would those critters fly or rent anything?

Watch and mark my prediction.

Push, push, push that party hatred, keep working at dividing our country...outsider.

I'll bet you do, Nwtk2007.

I live about an hour SW of Dallas/Fort Worth and get their daily local news. The Mayor of Fort Worth, FYI, is Betsy Price.

Harden schools? I'm assuming you must be referring to more prison-like tactics.

Last time I was in Fort Worth I had just left Dallas. Fort Worth was like another planet. One where people had brains.

Why is it, the bigger the city, the dumber the inhabitants? This seems to bear out all over the world. I just don't get it.

For all of you who are paying attention to the stereotypes in regards to Texas and its political views, here is the party identification breakdown as of October 2012:

15%- Lean Republican
8%- Not Very Strong Republican
21%- Strong Republican
22%- Strong Democrat
9%- Not Very Strong Democrat
10%- Lean Democrat
12%- Independent

Reference- http://texaspolitics.utexas.edu/archive/html/poll/features/201210_partyid/slide1.html

Texas has a wide variety of people with different political views, just like most places do. Not everyone comes down here to live because of the "warm weather and loose women". We have a diverse economy and a lower cost of living. Many immigrants in Texas do not come to "escape the s**thole they lived in, then start turning it into what they left." Not all of them are even the same. Many are bold people who had enough courage to leave their native land and all that they knew, such as their friends, families, and language just to support themselves and people back home to live. Lots of new ideas in regards to culture is contributed to our society from immigrants in some ways. Some are entrepreneurial- An estimated 40% of Fortune 500 companies have been started by immigrants or their children. Steve Jobs, for instance, was the child of a SYRIAN immigrant. Immigrants DO NOT just steal jobs of people already born and living in the U.S. Small business are started up by immigrants on the local level and eventually expand. Small company founders and their employees will live, work and spend money in their local communities and thereby contribute in that way. In regards to guns and whatnot, I feel that guns THEMSELVES are not issues. It's the people who purchase and abuse them. There should be stricter policies towards HOW people get guns. Often, the people who are causing such violence are not mentally stable, are ignorant, or unstable in some way or form. A gun SHOULD NOT be in their possession. There is some sort of underlying problem there.
