chocura750: You're cognitive thinking is grossly void of any logic!....But then reading your posts have confirmed that on several occasions! NRA members are the safest gun owners on the face of the earth! Sick people will continue k*****g with anything they can get their hands on! Planned Parent Hood is an example of sick people using the pen vs the sword to k**l millions of children! They are responsible for 70 million deaths sense Roe vs Wade in 73! Proven to be bad law in many circles!

The weapon does not k**l; it's the person who uses it does the k*****g with wh**ever weapon he/she chooses. This is a fact. Those who wish to dictate to and control others need to enforce policies that take weapons away from them and put their weapons into the hands of their paid enforcers. This is a fact. Your attack on the NRA is based upon a delusion. This is a fact.

More and more looks like chocura750 is nothing more than a troll. Just anoother dead end stupid title to a thread. Haven't been responding much to posters who are in all probability trolls. Running out of people to debate.

As usual, no effort to find solutions that would solve the problem. The person stating NRA does not care, is not attempting to find solutions.

As anyone should know, before a solution can be implemented, the problem should be defined. Phil Valentine, using the FBI records on crime, makes a very good case on what the real problem is and how it started and how it can be solved.
Problem: Why are young adults k*****gs, without motive, rising since 1978 or so. Hope everyone reads and researches the facts, if they think they are incorrect.

You are exactly right. The left always has a knee jerk reaction to everything. Doesn't matter if a freedom or right is trampled on as long as they can feel better. Thanks for the link.

I agree withg Phil 100%. But I would also add that, as in most cases, where psychotropic drugs are involved, the pharma and the doctor that prescribed them should be held accountable in their respective role. And to hell with the privacy laws some of you will throw up.

Almost impossible. I dealt with bi-polar and borderline kids. Many were nuts before any medication. I didn't feel however, that the medication did much good. Be awfully hard to prove that the underlying psychosis wasn't the culprit and the drug was. Are our young people to drugged? Damn right they are and I don't agree with it. Just saying proving liability would be hard.

My dad had a saying when the Attention Deficit Disorder bulls**t became the rage of the day. He said ALL kids have ritalin in their asses, it just needs to be stirred up every now and then.

Yep. And if you work them enough, they don't have the energy to act the fool.

You damn right! My Dad had a 24/7 365 days/year Truck stop and a 1280 acre cattle ranch. I got the pleasure of working both. Was busting truck flats with a wedge and 16lb sledgehammer at 13 pulling a full (with no pay of course) shift in the summer and on weekends. Still found the time to get into plenty of trouble. My dad's rule was "I know your going to do it, so I'm not going to tell you not to, just don't get caught or there will be hell to pay."

I have a friend that said they had bi-polar people when he was in boot camp during Vietnam. Just wasn't called bi -polar then. They got over it about their third ten mile march. Worked the crazy out of them. To damn tired to act out.

I had to work to make money for anything other than a roof over my head, and groceries from a young age. Started with mowing grass at 8, or 9, throwing papers before school at 11, and moved up from there. Left home at 17, and never looked back.
I've done some truck tire work myself. Worked at a retread shop for a while. Those old split rings used to scare the hell out of me. I'd heard horror stories about em, and they made me real careful!
And I pretty much had the same philosophy with my kids. When they got caught, they paid for it themselves. And I always told them when I had no real right to b***h at them about stuff they did that I did at their age. But I paid my own way, so they did too.
And, you know......they're both damn good people now!

You know Jim, I work with a kid (29) younger than my youngest who grew up working on his families dairy farm. That kid is more grounded, and has a better work ethic than most I know who are my age.
That speaks volumes to me. As well as my own kids being able to make their own way, and solve their own problems.
That's our job as parents. To prepare them for independence from us. I think society has lost that idea for something worse.

It’s a little thing but the fact that the progressives under Obama thought your “kids” should remain on your insurance until 26 spoke volumes to me. I was 8 years out of my parents house by then.
