Unfortunately the collective mental illness that is US two party politics has infiltrated Canada, so that instead of three or more parties circling around a reasonable center and forming coalitions if one began to dominate too radically, we now have GOP style reactionary conservatives either tearing apart systems that took decades or longer to build, with media backing by the corporations that want further deregulation in favour of quicker profits and strangleholds over essential resources that should remain in the Commons in trust for future generations, accusing all other parties of being "L*****t".
Thanks a lot, America, you are successfully exporting your problems to countries that never had them.
You really should have done a better job of cleaning out members of the American N**i Party after WWII, and definitely should have limited Operation Paperclip to the scientists who belonged to the party, instead you picked up the figurative "Ring of Sauron" and have given it two generations to work on you.
"Oh, say can you see, by the Dawn's early...Gollum! Where is my Preciou..democracy? You stole it's from us, stupid fats socialists, gives it to ussss!"

You had me going there for a bit, ambi. That is until you placed all the blame on the right arm of the only political party left in the US--the corporate party. The republicans are merely its right arm and the democrats are merely it left arm.
People here on OPP do not seem to understand that it has, for quite some time, not really mattered which party was v**ed into power in America. Not really. As corporations, the deep state and their media apparatchiks have gained greater and greater control of both sides of the political and legal processes in the US, as they have stacked both sides of every e******n with their chosen candidates, as they have owned ever greater numbers of politicians at every other level in the political system, so the differences between the "2" parties have become merely the left and right arms of the "1" corporate party. V****g is like one choosing between vanilla or chocolate ice-cream. You choose the flavor you prefer, but what you are really eating is essentially the same thing. In the same way it has, for quite some time now, not really mattered which arm of the "corporate party" was v**ed into power.
The 2 arms of the corporate party act in concert to create d******eness with false left/right spectrum among the easily duped sheople while keeping control of the political and economic agenda.
I know many will reject this contention outright. Truly mind-boggling amounts of money and effort have been expended in polarizing the American sheople into these political camps. And so, many of you have allowed yourself to be labelled by this imposed political affiliation and then you have allowed yourself to believe that the ills of your nation are because of the opposing faction.
As establishment insider Carroll Quigley revealed why there doesn’t appear to be much difference between Republican and Democrat presidents, such as Obama and George W. Bush.
http://youtu.be/bF6Dt7SS_yw “The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers,” Quigley advocated in his book Tragedy and Hope. “Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any e******n without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy.”
In other words, Republicans and Democrats will publicly debate minor issues, but when it comes to major corporate and/or international issues of the t***snational interests who control both parties, many Republicans and Democrats will toe the line and serve their master’s agenda. The rest is just to keep the sheople distracted and divided.
