Nice to know I'm not alone. Got a couple of "memory markers" myself. In second grade one of those sweet little females critters decided (out of the blue) to stab me in the leg with her pencil. The lead graphite mark is still there underneath the skin and I'm 63.

It's that Joseph Goebbels narrative. Repeat the lie again and again until the peasants fall in line!

I had a similar experience. On the last day of school in my Jr. year, a sophomore girl stabbed me in the arm with a sharpened pencil saying "now you will never forget me", and she was right, I never have. The graphite is still there and that was over 65 years ago.

Well, I've forgotten the 2nd grade female critter's name but remember the teacher's, Mrs Payne.

What are you trying to say Larry? Are you telling me that you never tried to jump a modified Big Wheel over an irrigation ditch?

Another true story of me and my older brother who used me as his personal punching bag as kids. The family took us swimming at a local lake and my brother (2 yrs older and 60 pounds heavier) would dunk me whenever he saw no one was watching. So after enough of this, I plotted my revenge. I eased up to the pier and when he wasn't looking jumped off the pier onto his head with both feet and then high tailed it to where mom and dad were. Thought I had made a clean escape, no way he could get to me before I made it to safety. I looked back and he was unwinding to throw a rock at me, it was way off mark at first, then started to curve and hit me in the head. 25 stitches and the bum didn't even get spanked.

Americans have more in common with the Russians than any other country. It's just some in this country would rather our nations be at war than lose political power. With all the corruption this last administration has caused in all 2,000 plus government agencies the media in this country will no longer be able to keep a lid on it. The only thing you will hear is how another Democrat being tried for treason followed by another Dem found guilty of treason. Trump promised to drain the swamp but it was the demos lust for power that is causing their own demise. Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch. Trump can still do in McCain and Flake. and while he's at it make Congress enjoy with the rest of us Social Security and the 'Affordable' Care Act.

proud, Wrong question. It should be, Why doesn't Trump critisize Putin for interfering in our e******ns, invading former Soviet republics, having reporters and political rivals put in jail or murdered, supporting some of the worst dictators in the world like Assad in Syria, opposing American interests all over the world, etc.?

He has. So did Obama, if you remember.

Hmmm. You must not have called her back after that first date.

I never had a 'big wheel'. I went straight from go carts to standard bicycles. I did jump my share of things on the bike, though. Actually, most of my 'reminders' are from my motorcycling days.

But yes, I am apt to believe that you probably tried to jump a ditch at the age of two on your modified 'big wheel'. Somehow that just 'sounds' right.

Holy sheet!!! I have one of those too! We lived in Sunray, TX (Arch knows where it is), I was in 3rd grade, me and this neighbor kid was fighting (rolling around on the grass) and his 1st grade sister stabbed me in my right calf - I still have the lead in my leg where it broke of, I'll be 70 in July - yup, pencil lead sticks with ya. LOL!
It really is a small world.
SGM B out.

Ah. Hmm. Now that's interesting. All I can think is that you were the biggest baby ever birthed (in which case, oh, your poor Mom!), or you waited until it was too late to try riding one. I find either of those thoughts less than credible. So there must be a third option that escapes me. Help me out here?

I was a normal baby...just lots of fertilizer afterwards.

My daughter was 6' 3" by 17...so was my little sister.
